I’m not one to typically leave poor or anything less than 3 star reviews but I’m honestly disgusted and just wanted to wait til my dog was properly cared for.
About 8:30 am this morning I discovered my dog ingested roach bait tablets with boric acid in them. I immediately began googling the closest open emergency vet. I had taken one of my animals here before so I tried calling and was asked to be put on hold. I didn’t want to waste time so I hopped in my car and came here. Upon arrival, I got into the lobby and reception was assisting another person who seemed like they were putting their animal to rest, so I waited to be acknowledged by reception instead of being rude. The only question reception asked me is if I had been there before. I said yes but not for this dog. I expected her to ask if my pet was facing a life threatening emergency or to request for back up. Neither happened. A gentlemen’s came in shortly after that and reception asked him if he had a pet with him. He explained that he called the night before about a severely injured dog he found the night before. Reception immediately began to make calls to assst him, as she should. That is is when I stepped in and said I wanted to let them know I am here because my dog ingested roach bait containing boric acid. She then asked me if I called and spoke with them before coming in or spoke with poison control. I said no and no. She handed me a piece of paper and said I need to call them before they can do anything.
I then sat on a phone line for another 20 minutes with an online consult vet which I paid $85 dollars for just for them to tell me my dog just needs an anti nausea injection. 15 minutes later the receptionist at 24/7 pets finally started to enter our information and to get into the room. I got to the vet about 9am, As of 11:20 my dog had not been given his anti nausea injection. I will say I am very happy my dog was not dying or that my situation was not as severe. I came here because of the severity of the situation. If I would’ve known, I would’ve drove to a vet across town where I was guaranteed to get in and out within an hour with no appointment. Instead, I chose to drive him to the closest place that had 1 other person in front of me when I got here. The lobby was completely quiet and empty. The whole building is very
quiet. I wasn’t checked in on. My dog wasn’t kept monitored after having a 103 fever and disclosed that he threw up upon arrival. Don’t bring your animals here for an emergency. I wrote this review while waiting. It’s 11:33 they barely just came in to give him the injection

I wish I could rate this place a zero. DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES HERE! Our cat was not eating for two days or drinking water so we brought him to this place. I hope that these unprofessional people know that we can hear everything that is being said through that door! They were laughing at the fact that we brought our cat in and said “These people are wasting our time, they must have money to spend” My sister and I were so appalled at this! How can someone say this to a customer who is scared their fur baby is not wanting to eat or drink in days. Not only that but the front desk girl was absolutely rude and empathetic! I will never ever come here again! And I hope others don’t either. I’m sure there are other places that are kinder and better professionals.

Should’ve read the reviews before going. Horrible staff. Dr and receptionist super passive aggressive. Only good encounter was Tracy, bless her she doesn’t deserve to be associated with this horrible vet. Dr was extremely rude when talking to us and making me feel like a bad dog mom for my reactive dog, which by the way only barked at him ONCE! My dog was sick, scared, in pain, and he felt the need to keep reminding me how bad his behavior was.
Btw $400 for bloodwork is ridiculous. My high quality vet charges $60. 24/7 Pet Vets are a joke!!

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this situation truly warrants one. I found a dog that had been hit by a car lying in the road and called ahead to explain the emergency to Carlos. He assured me to bring the dog in, so I rushed over. Upon arrival, I offered to cover the vet bills and explained I only had $200 on hand but would return with the rest.

Despite this, I was told that treatment couldn’t begin without the full $1,300 upfront. I even offered to leave my card on file and quickly get the remaining amount, but they refused. Given the urgency, I knew the dog wouldn’t survive if I left to gather the money. Carlos directed me to Fresno Humane Animal Services, saying they could help.

I drove 15 minutes with the severely injured dog barely clinging to life. When I arrived, I found the doors closed (it was their day off), but thankfully, they opened after I explained the situation. They took the dog in but informed me I couldn’t pay for treatment since they’re a nonprofit, and because I wasn’t the owner, I had to surrender the animal. They suggested I take it to another emergency vet, but by then, the dog was in such critical condition that it wasn’t an option.

Had I known this beforehand, I would’ve gone directly to another vet instead of wasting precious time. I sincerely hope Fresno Humane can save this poor dog.

To 24/7 Pet ER: Please don’t waste people’s time in emergencies like this. Your lack of compassion and unwillingness to act could delay critical treatment and cost lives.

If I can give this place at zero star I would. My daughters took a stray cat that they had found that was emaciated, and in very poor condition to this vet, and they were treated so bad there because they’re saying that my daughter should have brought the cat in sooner. The way that they conducted themselves with no compassion or empathy Was disgusting. My daughters were trying their best to help this poor cat that needed to be euthanized and were basically told that because they didn’t bring them the cat Sooner that is why the cat was dying. We were trying to be good Samaritans and help this poor kitty as he would not have made it probably one more night out in the cold. Please do not take your Pets here. Their attitude is the reason that people don’t want to get involved with injured strays.

Our girl Dina, a Doberman, was sick. We noticed how bad she had gotten around 530 pm. Before we took her to the vet we did a virtual vet call and was told she possibly has Pyometra which would cost almost 5-6k to do emergency surgery . She had gotten immensely sick and fast. An employee, Dawn, came to my home and loaded our girl onto the truck. She and her brother were so kind and careful w/ her. I was aware that it would be a wait once we got there. I waited outside with my girl until we were called in. The second time the girl with the face piercings told me my options were to have a mandatory $90 exam or the $1k exam. I told her we would be doing the $90. They were aware that I was going to euthanize because she had gotten so sick within the 2 hour time frame and wanted to let her go without being in pain anymore. I told her we had the money for it but we also just had a baby. She rudely stated, “so when it all comes down to it it’s a financial issue.” This girl had no empathy bone on her body. I was so upset but I had been crying all night. The next woman I talked to was a girl in tealish/blue scrubs with a gray sweater. She was so kind. My dog unfortunately passed away while waiting to be seen. The gray sweater woman gave me some time to grieve. She later came and picked her up and took her away. She knocked on my window while I was crying and told me she was going to give me a paw print and did. I appreciate you so much.
I feel like this place guilt trips you into paying a lot of money when there are probably cheaper options. I’m not only talking about my experience but what I saw. The piercing girl kinda talks loud enough into guilt you in front of everyone into paying the prices for your animal to be checked.
The reviews are real. Only come here if you’re ok w spending $1k for getting your baby checked.
Dawn & lady wearing gray sweater, I’m sorry I didn’t get your name, I would give you two 5 stars for the people you are. You women should go where they care for animals like yourselves and don’t see dollar signs when they see animals coming through the door.
Face piece lady, that job suits you perfectly already.

Although one of the staff members was very sympathetic and I was given moments with my soul cat after he passed, it wasn’t enough to warrant more than a 1 star experience.

With zero answers and little to no information as to why my pet suffered, I am still left in the dark as to what happened to my sweet boy. Immediately off the bat the charges rounded up to over $2000 Just for basic testing and intubation of which they still had no reason as to why my cat was coughing and having trouble breathing. Instead, they had him on a machine where he sadly passed alone before I could get to the vets to be with him on the 3rd day of being on support. It wasn’t even explained if it was necessary for the type of treatment they conducted on him, It really just felt like they called to communicate more and more charges for less and less answers.

It just makes no sense how I spent over $3000 for services that did nothing for my sweet boy and knowing that he suffered and passed alone with them, breaks my heart every day. I was never given a diagnosis, It was as if they just took him and said it will cost about X amount of money for his ultimate death. He wasn’t the only cat that was taken there and passed away in their care. One of my friends lost their cat and another has just lost their dog.

I’m not sure if there is a lack of urgency or just a lack of experience amongst the vets, but something is not right.
