I called early for an emergency appointment. My cat needed stitches and I was able to make an appointment and be seen within an hour and half. Fortunately, it was an ONLY surgery day and was able to take her in quickly. I picked her up late afternoon and my cat (Fendi) was relaxed and calm. The staff said they loved her and was all very kind, warm, and friendly. I have been visiting this location for over 10 years and I’ve taken all my fur babies here. I always recommend them and people who I refer recommend friends and family to them as well. I plan to continue taking all my fur babies to Stine Veterinary Hospital. I also believe rates are reasonable.

I felt impressed to write an AMAZING review for Stine Vet Hospital and staff.

After calling 25 local veterinary hospitals (one of them being her own veterinary clinic) including the ER/urgent care this place took Darla in after relaying her symptoms.

Desiree was a pleasure to speak with and expressed compassion to my worries about Darla. They advised we can go in at a certain time and would still wait to be squeezed in between already scheduled patients, which was okay. Darla was seen within 2hrs, diagnosed with valley fever and given the appropriate care and medications she needed. I want to Thank the staff for really caring about their patients and providing a detail explanation of what to expect and look for after her care. I am not a native to Kern County and not aware of this common fungal infection.

Very pleased with the TLC we receive at Stine Vet. Very caring towards our dogs. We had to put Jackson down about a year ago. Not an easy day, but the staff was wonderful and took personal time with me to help me through it, with no rush. Gave me time to adjust and finally hand him over to be put down. He had a heart condition and was worsening and we just didn’t want to put him through the process ahead of him. I’ll always appreciate them for that experience.

I love this very the doctor is amazing!. He helped my Princess and she is an 18 yr old Chihuahua. Thank u doctor Cutie...She is the black n white one, her son is next to her and his son is next to him

Amazing experience! I was struggling with my cat’s “Asthma” for a few months. He was not getting any better despite being on a treatment with his regular doctor. I found this hospital online and I decided to give this place a try. I was able to make an appt online for the next day. I brought him here and it turns out he was misdiagnosed and he actually had a HUGE polyp.

Come Monday we called the veterinarian and they said that they did not fully clean his ears and my husband asked if we could have a discount and they said no when we picked them up Thursday the staff advised us that he needed to get his ears fully clean and nothing was done as was needed so we are dissatisfied because this veterinarian said that they were going to charge us an extra 470 some dollars like I said when my husband picked them up. They never told us that they didn’t finish his ear cleaning sent him off with the same problem. Communication was extremely poor. If you ever need to have your dogs ears cleaned out and make sure you have them sedate the dog because they will torture your dog awake.

In a single week, I've had to take in two dogs to get checked out. One for allergies/hot spots and the other because she helped herself to some ribs and decided to eat the bones as well. ? Two separate visits, and both were great experiences. Yes, both times there was a bit of a wait, but honestly, the fact that they don't rush their clients out the door speaks for itself. The front desk is very attentive both on the phone and in person. The vet technicians/assistants (not entirely sure their titles) paid attention to detail and were really sweet with our dogs. The veterinarian thoroughly explained everything to us and treated our dogs with respect and care. I wish I had gotten more names for both of our visits. I recall Jocelyn, Freddy, and Dr. Havel and they were all great! Yes, the price tag isn't pretty, but considering I've owned dogs my entire life and had multiple vet visits, and today's economy, I personally felt their prices are fair. I will continue to bring my dogs here for any of their needs.
