I've been going here for years. Everyone is friendly, compassionate, and caring. As my senior dog was aging, they kept me very aware of her needs, and worked closely with me to have the best outcome for her life. Tassie lived to be 18 years old. Alot of her longevity was with the help at Midtown Animal Clinic.

My review is solely on the customer service and accommodation and NOT on quality of care. I have no doubt their quality of care and expertise is top notch.

Regarding customer service. I’ve been buying my cat’s prescription food for past 5 weeks. It began back in late May where my normal vet shared they weren’t able to carry this specific brand of cat food. I frantically called around and found Midtown Clinic where I recall sweetly how eager they were to accommodate me. Since then, I made an intentional choice to support them for being so helpful.
I am to sure to always show my cat’s prescription straight from her Vet when asked.

Sadly today, when I went to pick up more cat food, I was met with attitude and sass. When explaining that I’ve done this multiple times, one of the employees shared “I don’t feel like arguing today”.
Taken aback, I thought, why would this be an argument?
We finished the transaction with sour moods and an unwelcoming feelings.
It concluded with them sharing they prefer to only sell prescription food to their clients. Which makes sense and happy to respect that for multiple reasons, 1. It’s their choice and they reserve the right to enforce their policies and 2. I don’t think it’s needed to support rude staff.

Hopefully this provides some helpful information for any folks interested in getting their pet prescription needs fulfilled from here.

Great service and price. My last vet, Animal Wellness Center, wouldn’t tell me what’s wrong with my dog even after X-rays. Midtown did the ultrasound the day of my visit and let me know me know she had lymphoma. My dog, Bella, had to be put down but at least they weren’t trying to squeeze every last cent to do it. Respectable business. I would’ve taken my pets there if I had known about them sooner.

The Dr. Neywyn in Midtown is very friendly, but the prescription she prescribed basically maybe killed my dog of 16 years. My dog is 16 years old, vet prescribed Nextguard and antibiotic Doxycycline at the same time for flea and running nose without doing any lab tests. FDA in year 2018 ,issued a warning about Nextguard will have renal failure for some senior dogs as side effects. As a result of taking Nextguard, My dog has been in UC Davis ER for 5 days, still struggling her renal failure condition. I just want to ask ,please be careful when you are dealing with senior dogs...be careful...

Professional, clean place and knowledgeable experienced veterinary physicians who communicate well. Some staff reception staff seem cold and but overall straight forward place to get cherry eye surgery for my English bulldog with reasonable costs. Thank you for the service provided we’re happy with Lucky’s outcome?

The reason I give them 5 stars is because google only allows a maximum of 5. They deserves A LOT MORE.

We had a dog in Davis and we have to find someone living in northern California to send them back to Taiwan in mid June since we have to go back to Taiwan earlier. However, it is extremely difficult to make a confirmation of the flight due to COVID-19. We schedule the flight on 5/30 and the flight will leave on 6/3!

Ben, the vet who take care of my dog, May, prepare all the documents from USDA and contact with the dog sitter IN TWO DAYS! He got the document required for May's trip at 7PM, four hours before the flight take off!

It is hard to imagine if we cannot make it -- we are both in Taiwan at that time, and it would be extremely difficult to find someone else. At 5 PM, we almost want to forget this plan and think about the plan B. Ben wrote a mail to me at 7PM and he said that he check the USDA website every hour! Thanks Ben a lot, it is difficult for me to find a word to show my appreciation!

I take all 3 of my pets here, two of which are seniors. My long hair calico has severe anxiety when she leaves the house. To the point where she will vomit, urinate and defecate in her crate. It's always embarrassing to take her anywhere. The staff here at Midtown animal Clinic is wonderful with her. They even go out of their way to help clean her up and they'll bag her dirty bedding. I know it's not their job and they go above and beyond. I truly appreciate their staff. They're always throuough with their examinations and diagnosis and don't run any unnecessary tests. I live in Sac but will always make the drive to bring my pets here for the exceptional service.
