I’ve been bringing our bunnies, piggies, and dog to Dr Pfaff for since 2018. We’ve received amazing care from her and all the staff. They’re so good with my animals and I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Dr. Pfaff and all of her staff have been absolutely amazing to my ferrets and myself. It’s a night and day difference to our prior vet experiences. Our first visit didn’t feel rushed at all, Dr. Pfaff took her time thoroughly examining them and explaining anything I had questions about in detail.

When one of my ferrets was sick and not eating, they were able to squeeze her in so I could drop her off and they could observe her for the day. Dr. Pfaff also personally called me to talk about what she observed and discuss tests and treatment options. Noodle was back to feeling better within a couple of days. They even called to check and see how she was doing a few days later and to make sure everything was okay.

All of her staff are also incredibly sweet and helpful. Whether it’s for med refills or just asking questions, they have always been patient and kind. 10/10, I am so happy we found a great vet who cares for animals and goes above and beyond.

Every appointment at Critter Care has been a positive experience for both my Havanese, Katie, and me. All employees are very caring and professional. They make certain that Katie is as relaxed as possible for each procedure and that all my questions get answered.

We have always had great care for animals here. Unfortunately , the customer service and communication seems to always be lacking. It seems to be more of a training issue, but when trying to discuss anything with the staff or Veterinarian, the situation constantly gets twisted back to the client as if we should know all the in's and out's of their operations. Just trying to fill a prescription has taken over a month...hopefully things will get better. Every call is answered with a different answer or reason as to why we can't get our pets meds. It's been highly frustrating to say the least. Every conversation is highly combative and condescending on their end, and it's just not necessary.

7/13/24- Liza, in response to your reply:
Your statements are completely untrue. The medical records you emailed me also prove my statements. You continue to throw this late appointment in our face. We were not late , in fact my husband was over 15 mins early BECAUSE we respect your time and had been loyal clients for years, who have spent a lot of money with your business. Your medical records confirm that our apt was at 11:30 on 6/8/24...take a look! My phone records also show you left us a VM at 11:08 canceling our 11:30 apt. The notes in your medical records also do not match the statements you're making. We never scheduled an online appointment, no one worked late for us... records show we left at 11:56, there was no desperation for meds, only our standard refill of our pets flea and tick rx that we have filled with you for over a year. Your claims and dishonesty are WILD! You are condescending, read your response. Please get your facts straight before publicly posting, it only makes you look bad. I am unsure why you have decided to behave this way to a good customer, or be dishonest, but it is very sad and confusing to see. You used to have a front desk lady that was very versed and clearly had things in order. It appears that she is no longer with you. As I mentioned, perhaps there is just some training that could be done for your staff to avoid issues that affect the health and well being of my pets when they cannot get their medications for almost a MONTH after our apt. We have always treated you, your staff, and your time with respect, it would be nice if that was reciprocated. Aa loyal clients, we even tried to contact you after reading your crazy reply, and your staff told us "they are not allowed to talk to us". We left a message asking you to call us back and you refused to. So unprofessional and childish.

Aurora Animal Hospital who sees exotics is AMAZING, I'm thankful that you "fired us" despite your dishonesty, so that our pets could get care much faster, at a lower cost, with much more flexibility on vaccine availability, prompt, same day medications, and without any unnecessary drama. Go to them everyone, save yourself the headache!

Dr. Pfaff is an excellent and very caring vet that loves the furry noodle, AKA ferret. She's knowledgeable about the ills they can go through, and will put her all into saving their lives. Thank you Dr. Pfaff for helping Babygirl, and for trying to help my Bella.

The staff is very friendly and professional, and always put the animals' well being first.

My baby boa constrictor was starting to show symptoms of an upper respiratory infection, so I sent in an email. They gave me a call back very promptly and were able to schedule me for an appointment the next day.

They weighed and examined her, and they double checked that my snake was kept in the proper conditions and had everything she needed. They explained the possible causes of her condition and cautioned me to quarantine her from my other snake. They rinsed her mouth out and gave her an injection of antibiotics, and made sure to explain what to do step-by-step before sending me home with more to give her at set intervals at home.

The cost of the vet visit wasn't cheap, of course, but it was so much less than I feared it would cost.

It was a Friday, so the results of the viral testing wouldn't be available for several days, but they checked in on us in the meantime to make sure she was improving. Dr. Pfaff kept in contact with me via email to continue clarifying some of the advice she'd given me during the appointment.

My boa is improving quite a lot, and I'm really glad I chose this vet for my snakes!

Dr. Liza and her staff are patient and kind. My 3 guinea pigs have become regulars at Critter Care. Dr. Liza is so good at going through everything to make sure I understand what’s going on. I know how busy the vet gets, and they never rush me out! My guinea pigs and I feel valued and treasured at Critter Care. I always recommend people here! Best staff and vet! Thanks for your hard work and dedication to animals- it shows! ❤️

We loved coming here. Dr. Liza was amazing when we came for the first time, mid year. To say I am disappointed in this place this time around is an understatement. We came in this morning to bring our ferrets in, and they wouldn't allow 2 people in (myself and my 9 year old daughter), even though previously in late July/early August it wasn't an issue. The lady at the older front desk lady was absolutely awful in person. They called with the information from our visit. I asked if they still did nail trims with the visit and the Dr said she'd be happy to do it then (nothing on cost was mentioned at that time). Received a bill for $291 for 2 ferrets which included $15/ferret for a nail trim. I called post visit once I received the invoice and asked why that was not on the visit from previously, nor was it mentioned over the phone that the cost would be that high and they said the owner would be in touch. Jill called me back and told me the owner would not be calling me back and hung up on me. Absolutely bummed as we loved this place originally. Take your animals elsewhere.
