I went here to have my cat put down when she was 17, she had cancer and was too old for treatment. she was very thin and when the colburn gave her the shot to have her sleep before being put down, he put it in her hip. he didn't grab the skin, he wasn't gentle, and I felt it hit and scrape against her bone as he did. my anger was through the roof, but I was a teenager and my father scolded me when I spoke up about it, saying colburn was the professional. I don't care. it's been 5 years now and I still don't forgive him for being so unkind in her last moments. she was my everything, and I will always hate him for doing that. I don't think I got my cat back either. he claimed the box I received was her cremated ashes, but it looks like a bunch of wood scrapings in a plastic bag, honestly. that's not what cremated ashes look or feel like. maybe it's because he was old, but I will never forgive him. that's so thoughtless and heartless. just because it's just another cat to him doesn't mean she was just another cat to me.

I was visiting my parents in town and my young sharpei needed his rabies vaccine and his eyes checked. I called them up and they gave me an appointment the next day. Dr. Colburn and his staff were very friendly and great with my dog. They were reasonably priced and I was very satisfied with the service. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area or just passing through. Thanks for your help.

Dr. Colburn is a saint. When our golden retriever had a cracked tooth and we could not afford surgery in Summit County he removed the tooth and charged us an amount we could afford. It made the last year or our old dog's life comfortable and happy. He is also an exceptionally skilled veterinarian. He and his staff are wonderful with animals and their accompanying children (and parents!). This is the way a veterinarian should run an office - with a true love of the patient and the family, and with the support of a staff who feel the same way.

Our 12 yr old Lab has been in a lot of pain recently due to his hips. He also has a lot of fatty tumors. This morning was really bad for Riley and he had an accident on the couch.

I called Dr. Colburn's clinic and they were able to get Riley in this morning. We feared the worse but were prepared for it. Dr. Colburn felt that Riley still had a lot of life left in him but needed better pain management. He gave us 30 days worth of a stronger pain med to see how it would work.

Now Riley is at home on his first dose, after Dr. Colburn was able to squeeze him in first thing in the morning in his busy schedule.. Thanks Dr Colburn!!
