Gross negligence is what I experienced here. This place should lose their license.

I have two small dogs that they cared for over several years that are now both having health issues that could have been prevented had this vet clinic had any level of competency.

I took both dogs in for regular visits and feel like not only have I been robbed of that money but my dogs lives have been impacted in very real ways by the lack of care from this staff.

One of my dogs had a heart murmur show up on an annual checkup and I was never even spoken to about medication or a specialist visit. I eventually took my dog into a cardiologist on my own one day after noticing some behavioral changes YEARS later. Now his heart is enlarged when I could have been treating it before it got to that point. He has been irreparably harmed.

My other dog was “going blind”, or so a vet here bluntly stated. They suggested a specialist in this case only for him to be 100% cleared and the visit being a waste of $400. This dog also had regular check ups and yet today just one year out of their care he is having 14 teeth extracted. The severity of his teeth had not been mentioned once to me and not only that but he’d been missing teeth the whole time. Never. Mentioned. Once. Half his teeth were missing before the additional extractions.

So they had me waste time and money while being completely wrong and yet didn’t suggest additional treatment or intervention on things that actually mattered. Like I don’t even know how to fully express my opinion on the gross level of negligence it takes to do that, and to so severely misguide me to the degree that both of their lives are harmed. This vet actively harmed my dogs. Do not trust them.

I came to this vet because of online reviews but I can’t help but question their legitimacy now. Every time I’d been in the vets all seemed exhausted and the front staff was never friendly with me or even my dogs. Looking back I can see a blatant lack of care in their work culture and staff that is stretched too thin to give proper individual attention.

They don’t even seem to have my records of vaccines recorded correctly and it looks like I’d been told to come in early for boosters a few times. Could not recommend this clinic less and they deserve to be closed down and sued for the real world health implications their negligence has caused to my dogs, and I’m sure I’m not alone. One dog will literally die prematurely of heart failure and the other will live without the majority of his teeth unnecessarily. Shame of this “hospital”. Go somewhere else.

I always have an excellent experience at Foxtail Pines! I miss Dr. Skelly and Dr. Labek, but Dr. Jess is awesome! Both the Vet and techs have always listened closely to every concern I’ve had with my pups and kitty, and been able to provide detailed answers that help ease my concerns and given me confidence in their care and procedures. I love their facility and all of the staff that work there, I can easily give a 5 star review and recommend taking your pets here if you want the best care.

This is hands down the best veterinarian in all the land! They literally have saved my dogs life on more than one occasion! They are compassionate and simply the best. I have trusted them for years now. I will never go anywhere else. Every staff member is so kind from the front desk to the techs and of course the physicians. So very grateful for this facility!

This is a great place. Dr Wydallis is wonderful. I can always trust her recommendations and I feel she really cares about my pet. I don't live close to Erie but the care is truly worth the travel time.

I had just recently been given a very sick, very young kitten, and so it was Veterans Day a holiday I went to them and I can't say. Enough about the way they teach their ability to really be present and explain everything in a way. That's understandable, I'm very compassionate and uh. I did make a follow up and i'm going to keep them as my veterinary service.Professional is, I appreciate the very much. And it's so nice to have that's super service fox tail, pines, veterinary in Erie. And I really,

thought that there were reasons we priced.

This is going to be a long review because I have so many great things to say about Foxtail Pines but if you only read the first part, TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! I am a native to Erie and our family has been going to Foxtail Pines since they opened. We have fostered many puppies (like over 75 puppies) and I have taken all of them to Foxtail Pines and they are ALWAYS amazing. When I say my family goes here for all of our pets, I mean my extended family with all of our 12 dogs (we are dog people). Every experience I have had at Foxtail is amazing, but especially with Dr. Shea. I trust Dr. Shea fully to always do what is best for my dogs. My mom has a dog who has fear aggression and Dr. Shea is flexible with my family and gives him his exams from my parent’s car where he is more comfortable. As Dr. Shea is always transparent and informative in every situation, I knew I had to take my dog Bella to see him when my husband and I noticed her limping in January. Bella was 10 years old and she is my absolute best friend so I only want the best for her. Unfortunately Bella was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma that we are very thankful Dr. Shea identified when he did. Through this horrible hand that my best friend Bella was dealt, Dr. Shea was great at informing myself and my husband what our options were, what he felt was best for Bella, and was ALWAYS available if we had questions or needed something for her. He did a great job at informing us about her cancer while still allowing us to be the ones to make the decisions that were best for Bella and our family. If you need someone to be fully transparent, sincere, and straight forward in your pet care, Dr. Shea is your guy. Since Dr. Shea was so transparent and sincere in informing us about Bella’s cancer, we were able to spend the last weeks of her life spoiling her and letting her enjoy her favorite things like going on car rides to look at prairie dogs and hot dogs. Because Dr. Shea was able to communicate Bella’s situation and help, Bella was able to cross the rainbow bridge happy, not suffering and in my arms at our home. Unfortunately we sometimes need vet visits for situations like this, but it gave me such a sense of security knowing that I was doing what was best for my baby with the help of Foxtail Pines. After her passing, I received a sincerity card from Foxtail Pines that our 10 employees had personally written notes in. My family was overwhelmed in love upon receiving it. The time I saw Dr. Shea after her passing, he was so consoling and check on my well being as well as my families after. It is blatantly obvious how much Dr. Shea cares about all of his clients, regardless if they walk on 2 legs or 4. I have a 9 year old black lab named Gunner and a new rescue puppy that go to Dr. Shea. We will continue to go to Foxtail Pines as we know they have our pets’ best interest at heart always, and I guarantee if you go, you will feel the same.
The photo is of my best friend of 10 years Bella, who was blessed to have been a patient of Dr. Shea’s at Foxtail Pines ❤️

I have brought my dog here since we have moved in the area, about 6 years ago. We visited today with a Dr. P (I forgot her last name) and my dog was very comfortable with her and the assistant. They were able to do many things with my dog like cut his nails and draw blood without issues others have had. They had real good energy and my dog benefitted from it. I will continue to recommend this place and I've always just said 'give me whatever vet is open' when I call. Hasn't dissapointed in the past, but maybe going forward I'll ask for the same team because it was a great experience for what it was.

They took my golden retriever in on an emergency basis when my vet of 15 years didn’t have time for us. They literally saved her life. Dr Wydalis and all the vet techs were so communicative, competent and kind to us and then followed up to check in on Aspen’s progress. I now have a new vet for my three animals !!
