I highly recommend Liberty Animal Hospital. I have two German Shepherd pups that are very anxious and felt that both Dr. Aris' and Dr. Jane's kindness and patience make their visits as comfortable as possible. The administrative team is friendly and organized. They were also able to get me in quickly when my boy had an eye infection. Exam rooms are always clean, and the lobby has a variety of drinks to quench my thirst and a variety of treats for my pups!

This animal hospital and staff is a 5 star all the way. I was told my dogs leg needed to be amputated. There was necrotic tissue and a broken leg. The surgeon save the leg and healed the tissue damage. ❤️

Today my other dog had her first visit here and again perfect care. The vet took her time to examine her throughly, explain and demonstrate how to give the treatment needed.

Liberty is amazing in so many ways. The staff is top notch. Also much more affordable. Thank you Liberty for all your care, wisdom and support through a rough time.

I recently took my dog to Liberty Animal Hospital for a parasite check since my dog had diarrhea, and I’m really happy with how everything went. The staff was very friendly and made me feel at ease right away. Dr. Jane handled the exam quickly, and I’m glad the issue was solved without any hassle. I really appreciate their care and attention. Definitely a place I’d recommend to other pet owners for the general exam!

Dr. Atakem is a true gem and pillar of the community for pet care, going above and beyond to ensure clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Liberty Animal Hospital has an excellent and kind staff, who are welcoming from the moment you enter until the time you depart. The facility is beautiful and in a great location whether you are based in Westminster, Lakewood or Denver. Finding a vet that you truly trust with your beloved pets live is a difficult feat, but with Dr. Atakem and his team, you are GUARANTEED to be at ease as soon as you pull up to the parking lot. I cannot recommend enough! 6/5 stars.

I am extremely frustrated with my experience at Liberty Veterinarian and would not recommend them to anyone. My 15 year old cat had been dealing with chronic vomiting and significant weight loss, so I took him in for help. Unfortunately, they didn’t provide any real answers. At the first visit, they didn’t even offer any anti-nausea medication, and instead suggested a teeth cleaning, which was completely unnecessary for addressing his symptoms but I knew due to his age this should be done.
Two weeks later, my cat developed a severe sneeze, so I took him back to Liberty. They put him on antibiotics and did some imaging. When the results came back, Dr. Jane suggested an ultrasound to check if something in his stomach & intestines could be a “mass” or literally what could just be poop. They also kept pushing me to schedule the teeth cleaning, despite the fact that I was already in the process of doing that with his regular vet.
The only reason I went to Liberty was because my cat’s regular vet Guardian angel was no longer performing wellness checks, instead focusing on surgeries and teeth cleanings. I scheduled a teeth cleaning for my cat with guardian angel but a few days before his symptoms were concerning enough that Guadian Angel recommended I take him to Liberty for yet another wellness exam before the scheduled procedure. Only during this visit did Dr. Jane mentioned that this could be due to food allergies and gave me a prescription for the Hill’s diet. Unfortunately, my cat couldn’t keep it down for more than 20 minutes. It was a brief mention of the diet and not a huge push to explore that option further. And of course, Dr. Jane pushed hard for me to bring him in the day before his teeth cleaning to do an ultrasound. They gave him fluids and, finally, anti-nausea meds, and cleared him for his procedure. There was no real concern about his weight loss or vomiting, just pressure to do expensive, unnecessary diagnostic tests.
The whole process felt like they were more interested in draining my wallet than actually diagnosing or treating my cat. I’m upset with the approach, the costs, and the lack of genuine care. I would not trust them with my pet again, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place if you want real answers and reasonable care.

I am happy to say that because of all this, I found an amazing new vet at Planned Pethood. I rushed my cat there on Friday, December 6th afternoon due to his symptoms still persisting and his weight continually dropping,Dr. Jeff took him back right away. He performed extensive tests on him while also showing so much care and empathy. Dr. Jeff did a thorough check on all of his organs and went over his blood work. He explained everything in great detail and told me that he would have never suggested a teeth cleaning for chronic vomiting, nor did my cat actually need an ultrasound of his stomach—he felt no masses. Dr. Jeff believes my cat's issues are due to a food allergy or ibd and that he has become very sensitive to certain foods. So far, with the medication, Dr. Jeff prescribed the new foods I’ve introduced, and my cat is feeling so much better, with no vomiting. It is absolutely worth the drive to Conifer for Dr. Jeff’s care. I also didn’t have to pay an extraordinary amount for this visit, which was a huge relief.

Dr. A, his crew, and the new office are all amazing! I've taken my pup there for his bilateral TPLO and now for a front leg amputation and both times have been fantastic and priced very well. Highly recommend!
