I called them on Friday morning as the previous night, a sickly feral cat got into my house and I needed my indoor cat to be checked out in case the stray cat scratched/bit him. The receptionist on the phone was rude and made me feel foolish for calling to try to make an appointment to have him seen and to get a rabies shot. She said “if you didn’t see it injure your cat, why would you make an appointment”. (I had been at work when it happened and my cat has long hair so I was willing to pay to have the vet check him out.)
I ended up going to a different place who was professional, empathetic and lovely. I will not be going back to Walbert Animal Hospital ever again.

Dr Finelli is hands down the most incredible veterinary doctor in Allentown. He’s honest and ethical hence why we’ve been with him for about 15 years. I specifically asked for him when calling to make my appointments.

Took my cat here for the first time last week and will be continuing to use this vet! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived there was an active husky in the waiting room that wanted to be friends with myself and my cat, but she was terrified and was crying and hissing at the advances of the dog. The staff kindly offered to place my cat behind their desk / in an open room while we waited our turn so that she would be calm and comfortable. I am extremely grateful for the care they offered us on our first vet visit! They gave her a full check up and updated her shots, as well as quickly getting back to me with estimates and appointments for my cat's required followup care for her dental surgery.

They have been nothing but nice to us. Last week my husband and I made the difficult decision to put our cat Oreo to sleep. They were very kind and compassionate and took great care of him overnight(the night before) Thank you so much for taking care of our boy

My sweet beloved dog "Giaonni" passed on March 21st. I want to thank the staff for the compassion & empathy at this very difficult time. I have been going to Walbert Animal Hospital for almost 15 yrs. If you have a pet you love this is the place to go to.Dr Mike(what I like to call him) is one the best vets around! He is very compassionate,direct,understanding & treats your pet like his own. He has such a caring heart.In closing I would like to say, God Bless Dr. Mike & his wonderfully staff!

First of all I've been to quite a few vets in the area, it's all about the all mighty dollar. Selling you everything under the sun basically because you must love your pets that's why you're there so they know that and take advantage.
I have a dog who has had an issue since birth basically, I've gone to a couple places with him and all they want to do is deworm him regardless of the fact that he doesn't have worms and has repeatedly tested negative, nooo they insist I deworm him and ALL my dogs racking up my bill as high as they can get it. Then they just put him on prescription dog food indefinitely done deal. We are sick of him looking like he's dying so we figured we'd try another vet. That brought us here, a friend from many years ago used to come here and I remembered she loved them. They did not disappoint. The KNOWLEDGE that this vet has is unsurpassed he's very well informed and he takes his time with you lays out a plan and makes you aware of it so you're on the same page. He's familiar with my dogs specific breed specific issues and doesn't want to sell me everything under the sun.
I have FAITH this vet will help my dog. And I cannot remember the last time I felt that way about a vet.
I was so tired of being helpless in this, and with these people I don't feel that way anymore. I watched my 5 month old English bulldog die because of the last vet who just didn't care enough. I wish I found them sooner.
