I reached out to Dr. Dale Krier to schedule my dog’s (Austin) euthanasia. With a last minute change of heart because of a flash of wishful thinking, I canceled because he was “getting better,” so foolish, selfish and wrong of me. Dr. Krier was so patient and professional with me while explaining the best approach to this emotionally difficult process. When dealing with a pet that has reached the end of life’s journey, I now realize that it’s best for your pet to leave this world while he or she still has some sense of dignity and is somewhat “okay,” not when they are on their last leg and in any sort of distress. It’s better if final memories of them are on the happier side while they still have even the slightest bit of life in their eyes. I would recommend Dr. Dale Krier to anyone going through the stressful process of having to plan their final goodbye to their pet and wish to do so in a way that is best for their pet, you’ll look back on it and be confidently certain that you’ve made the right decision. Dr. Dale was recommend to us by a friend. I am so grateful to have found her. She is making this transition for our pet as peaceful as it can be. After our first home visit with her, our dog has shown marked improvement with mobility and pain management. I am beyond thankful that as things progress she will be be there to guide us during this extremely hard time. Our dog has quality of life now thanks to Dr. Dale.

Dr. Dale Krier provided an extraordinarily beautiful and peaceful journey for our beloved dog, Stella, in her final moments. Stella, who had been with us for 15.5 cherished years, enjoyed a large plate of whipped cream with a chocolate syrup heart from the kids right before her goodbye. It was a bittersweet celebration of the love she brought to our family.

Dr. Krier guided us with such compassion and care, offering thoughtful tips on how to talk to our 4-year-old and 2-year-old about what was happening. She answered their questions with kindness and made them feel involved and comfortable. Stella, who rarely seeks out anyone’s lap, even tried crawling into Dr. Krier’s—a testament to her calming and warm presence.

The calming music she brought created a serene atmosphere for Stella and the kids. Dr. Krier guided us through every step of the process, making everyone feel at ease. My husband, who rarely shows emotion, shed tears—a reflection of how meaningful and respectful the experience was.

Her thoughtful gift of a handmade prism crystal to hang in our window so we can remember Stella every evening was incredibly touching. This, combined with her expertise and kindness, turned one of our most difficult days into a peaceful and memorable goodbye.

If you want to honor your pet with a loving, dignified farewell, I cannot recommend Dr. Krier enough. Her compassion and care are truly unmatched.

Having Dr.Dale come to our home for our cat was the best choice i could have made. She was so kind to us both and treated my cat and I with such care. She also gave me a beautiful crystal she made herself to hang in the sun. When the sun hits it, there are rainbows everywhere. She is doing the work of angels. Losing an animal is one of the greatest pains, and somehow she made it feel so peaceful. I hope to use her in the future when it comes time for my other cats to go. Couldn't be more thankful to have found her.

Dr. Dale Krier and her husband, Richard, are the best of the best. They really took great care of us and fit us into their busy schedule on short notice. Our dog, Tucker, ended up passing before Dr. Dale arrived but Dr. Dale took the time to call and make sure we were all OK even when we didn't need her services anymore. Great people. They are very passionate about helping families ease their loved pets into their next life in the best, most dignified way possible. I'm grateful that they are doing what they do.

I would like to explain my relationship and experience with Dr. Dale Krier. Dr. Krier came to my home in September, 2022 to euthanize my beloved companion, Jordan. Jordan was a very old, nearly 15 year old large breed dog who became very disabled in the last month of her life. I found out about Dr. Dale from a friend who had her as her mobile veterinarian for many years. The day I called Dale, I was as sure as I could be it was the time for my girl to be out of her suffering. She was responsive immediately, very professional and was able to arrange her schedule to come that very day without me asking. She requested someone to be available to help her after the euthanasia to carry Jordan to her car as she was a large breed dog. I invited one of my dearest friends to be a part of what I would call the beautiful, peaceful death of my beloved friend and companion, Jordan. I had soft music playing, my friend was present, and Dr. Dale just came into my small cabin and arranged everything practically. She thought of every detail and aspect of what would be appropriate in the situation, and to watch her work so quickly, quietly and seamlessly was a sight to behold. Jordan was resting comfortably in a peaceful, familiar environment she knew well: her very own home. It was important to Dale that Jordan and I felt comfortable and even extended this concern and courtesy to my friend present so that we understood the entire process, step-by-step. The time came for our final goodbyes. I talked to Jordan and had to give her permission to leave this existence and that I would be Okay. It was Dr. Dale who told me that she was living for me and her concern was for me! I, who had been a dog owner for nearly 30 years, fostering and rescue, even, and never knew my dog, a dog, could be living and, at even her last day, suffering in body and mind, was hanging on for me. I was incredulous! I told her she could leave this world, and she did. Loved. Secure. Safe. Dale and my friend gathered her together respectfully handling her body into her car, and she brought her to the crematorium. In addition, I attended and still do attend the Pet Grief group which Dale has offered to all her clients, at no charge, facilitated by a professional, with her in attendance as the veterinarian, when she is not helping a family, to address those concerns which are medical any group attendee may have. She sent me cards, gifts, provided online resources, information in print form to be read and left her business card for any desired follow-up and a little flameless candle. She's an expert in this area for which she receives regular special training for relevancy and licensure. She would be considered a giant for teaching in this part of veterinarian medicine in my opinion as she has 38 years medical experience in various venues of practice. I have known her for nearly 2 years in this capacity and highly recommend her with many others who have come along this complex, upsetting and necessary part of a beloved pet's life: the dreaded day when we have to say a final goodbye in the kindest way possible. There's no easy way to do it. There will always be a feeling of uncertainty or doubt at the time, even when you know in your heart it is the proper time. She also explains that's part of the death, loss and grief process for every pet owner, the uncertainty. She has educated me sufficiently in a way that I have been able to pass all this useful information on to others facing the same situation which will be everyone who has a pet and loves them. If you are looking for someone to help your pet with their transition out of life to death, I can think of only one person, agency or practice who I would recommend unreservedly, Dr. Dale Krier of Creature Comforts Mobile Veterinarian Service.
