I took my princess Athena to the Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill, and I couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming. Allen, the technician who assisted with Athena's vaccines, clearly has a genuine love for animals, which put me at ease. Dr. Lauren DelTosta was fantastic; she took the time to explain everything in clear, understandable terms. She prescribed antibiotics for Athena's skin irritation, and I saw improvement quickly. I highly recommend this clinic for their compassionate care and professionalism!

I can’t say enough good things about everyone at this office. I sadly had to put down my Great Dane and everyone I encountered from the first phone call until I picked him up were caring , compassionate and really nice. The day I brought him in we were brought right in and given all the time we needed throughout each step of the process and were made to feel like we were family and were allowed to stay in the room as long as we wanted after the procedure which was about 45 minutes. They gave us privacy while still being really attentive to our needs and checked in on us a few times to make sure we were ok. They also sent a condolence card a few days after the service which was greatly appreciated.
I don’t usually do reviews but this experience was so above and beyond any expectation I decided to do one.

My family has been bringing our pets here since they started, over on Brook Street. It's always been nothing but love and a pleasure to visit. Our animals have always been excited to see their "Doctor friends", and have always been relaxed and at ease in their care. I grew up with Kristin and was excited to watch her grow with the practice, and go from a dear friend to a dear friend AND vet! I can't express my gratitude enough for their love, empathy, understanding and care through the years.

I just called there to get an estimate for my dog to get neutered and the receptionist was very rude. Did not want to give any around what price I was looking at for estimating on cost unless the dog was brought in first. She was rushing to get off the phone and didn’t care if I was trying to establish my new pet, when I went there before. I would never call this place again. I wouldn’t trust them with my dog that I love so much.

I’ve gone to Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill for a total of 24 years and suffice to say will be looking elsewhere for my dog! Dr Havier used to be amazing but he’s retired and honestly the care for their patients has gone downhill! The hunt for better care begins!

I became a client of AHRH about 8 years ago when I had to use their emergency hospital in the middle of the night for my cat, Max, who had kidney stones. My husband was away on business and I had to go through the ordeal alone. Our animals are our children and I was very afraid that I would lose Max that night. Dr. Havier and his staff were so wonderful and literally saved Max's life. He would have died if not for their awesome care. I was so impressed that I immediately changed all my animals over to their facility from my vet at the time even though it was much further away from my home. I have never looked back. They also gave the utmost outstanding care to my beloved German Shepherd, Zara, in the last couple years of her life and with their outstanding care gave her those extra years with us. Everyone in that office from the receptionists to the technicians to the veterinarians themselves are compassionate, friendly, knowledgeable and professional people. They all take the time to get to know your pet and make them feel comfortable in an environment that of course makes them anxious. They even offer the service of coming to your home when it is time to say goodbye to your beloved pet which makes it so much better for you as well as your pet being in their own surroundings. We took advantage of this service and it was the best thing we ever did. I can't say enough about this practice and could go on and on. However, I will leave it at that you and your pet will get the best care for routine visits as well as any emergency care you may need at Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill!

Animal Hospital Of Rocky Hill is great. Dixie is a pretty health dog but has had occasional problems with allergies and ear infections. They always treat her very well whether it’s the father (kind of a history buff, talked to him about WW1 and WW2) son or daughter that’s treating her. It’s also nice when everyone at the vet remembers who your dog is. I live all the way in East Haddam now but will continue to travel to Rocky Hill whenever Dixie needs care.
