Adopted my dog from Mona’s House rescue and was told this was the vet she has seen since they received her at the shelter. So being a good dog owner I wanted to try and keep my dog with the same vet that knows her history moving forward. BIG mistake as I was told she was never seen initially after arriving at the shelter by this vet for an initial, baseline exam before she was adopted out because she had already come to the shelter “fully vetted”. Before accepting and placing a new dog, wouldn’t you as a professional with the animals best interest at heart want a baseline reading of the animal from the beginning to address any issues for the animal When I asked the receptionist and business owner Elana for my dogs full record as promised in the adoption contract I was told that I was given the full record and they hadn’t had a reason to see her at their vet when arriving at the shelter and she didn’t have any answers to my questions surrounding my dogs health because “do you see a computer here? We don’t type our records, we write them.” When asked who they would refer for surgery, we were told not to catastrophize the situation (which if goes untreated could result in my dog losing eye sight which sounds like a catastrophe to me- but what do I know? I’m not a vet or snotty receptionist). When asking questions for clarification, the response I received was very defensive by the receptionist-Elana and told “I could just bring the dog back”- over my dead body. The adoption contract for this shelter that is associated with this vet does not exist for the best interest in the animal, only the shelter as the owner-Elana is shady and unprofessional with no regard for the best interest of the animals they place with no transparency what so ever. I then asked the receptionist- Elana who refers to herself as “we are Mona’s House” to clarify what was communicated to me by her via Facebook messenger to which Elana had stated she “doesn’t converse via messenger” once I showed her the screenshots between her (Elana Rogan Cecil) and I, she had no response. I would do all of your research regarding an animal adopted by this organization as they are not honest nor do their due diligence when accepting and “caring” for new animals placed in their care. Luckily my dog is now in a safe, loving home and will no longer need to be exposed to that kind of neglectful environment. Would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND this organization to do business with unless the business is to shut the entire organization down as a whole and save all of the pets that are “in their care”. In terms of the vet that saw my dog, I don’t have much to say as it was a five minute interaction to examine my dog and not much clarification or communication on his part. Will definitely go elsewhere moving forward and would suggest you do the same. If I could leave a zero star rating I would due to the zero class, zero professionalism and zero customer service skills as well as zero care for the animals served by the organization. Do yourself the favor and don’t waste your time or money there.

Dr. Craig and staff are excellent! We had to put down our 13 year old lab Cooper, recently… what could’ve been an awful experience turned out to be a really decent one. The vet kept him going longer than he might have and when it was time Dr. Craig and Elena were very compassionate and thoughtful to our family and we appreciated it immensely. Super great place!
Thanks,
Eric Cooper

I really wish I could give this place a rating only based on the DR himself because it would be 5 starts, but unfortunately my visit today is what brought down that rating. I was greeted by an older woman (there’s usually a young girl there when we go) who was not very pleasant definitely needs some customer service training. My dog has been here in the past and generally loves going there, he is very skiddish when it comes to getting his nails cut (which I emphasized over the phone that PetSmart or Petco has had trouble doing but never mentioned him biting) they began to immediately muzzle him and the older lady proceeded to say “you should’ve prefaced that issues when you made the appointment (which I did when I called stated other places haven’t been able to cut his nails, if they couldn’t do it it’s not a problem, they agreed to see him it would just be an extra charge if it were difficult) she then began to mention multiple times I should get my puppy neutered who by the way only turned 6 months 2 weeks ago so it hasn’t crossed my mind yet. She was very sloppy with her work and not very kind afterwards. I will unfortunately be switching beds due to todays interaction.

I called to inquire about services for Feral cats. This is a new territory for me. I had many questions on the phone. The woman on the phone started friendly and then quickly got annoyed with all my questions. She was making the information very difficult for me to comprehend and was not really helpful. She kept telling me, let's wait until Monday to talk, when I have needs for these cats. It was clear she did not want to see them. I finally told her I did not appreciate her attitude and she hung up on me. I am astounded at this bed side manner. I am in a whole new terrorrity with lots of questions and instead of kindly answering them despite my confusion, she was full of attitude. I wish I could have gotten her name. I will never go there.

I took my son's dog, Daisy, for her first visit here to get all her shots up to date. It was truly a pleasant experience. Daisy is a rescue so we didn't have any background information on her but they were able to give her everything she needed to become licensed and stay in a kennel next week while we go on vacation. Such a friendly staff.

VERY RUDE 35/40 year old blonde receptionist. Because of her horrendous customer service skills I switched veterinarians. She is rude and doesn't know how to properly/ professionally address customers. Dr Craig, please hire new front desk help, Because the RUDE one you have currently is Dragging customers away.
