My pit bull was suffering from anxiety, allergies - that was all I knew for sure. Poe was barely eating before and scratching and licking all his hair gone. The vet attacked the symptoms 1st with medicine and then when he started to show improvement and they were sure he could handle anesthesia he did a thorough exam and ran bloodwork. The underlying cause for most of his issues is hypothyroidism. Poe honestly isn't the same dog. Allergies have subsided, hair has grown back. He is eating and playing. Truly a calm and happy dog. They saved him.

This place! What a wonderful group of people. We were walking to eat dinner across the street when my 14 week old GSD pup stepped on piece of teddybear cholla cactus in the parking lot. She had spines all over her back foot, deep ones. I rushed her right over but they had literally just closed. I knocked on the door and this angel of a woman popped her head over. They took her back and within 15 minutes we were walking out of there cacti free! So grateful! We live 25 minutes away from their office but we'll make the drive over to them for all our future vet needs. Thank you Dr. Wheeler, Desiree, and Tasha! ?

I was extremely impressed with the service I received on my first visit. Everyone was professional but very friendly and helpful and Dr. Wheeler was excellent! He was great with the dog I had, I own a rescue and I wasn't sure how the dog would behave, he was very nervous. Dr Wheeler took his time, sat on the floor with him and waited until he was comfortable before he started the exam! It put me at ease too! Slater needed stiches and needed to stay for a few hours but I received a text during surgery with an update and even pictures! It was amazing! The price was very reasonable too! All in all I was extremely happy with the experience. I plan on using this vet for future rescue dogs and I'm making appointments for my own dogs!

Dr Wheeler cares. He is empathetic, understanding and a genuine good guy. I have been taking my cats to him since we moved up to Scottsdale a few years ago, and he helped make my poor cat Libbie with cancer comfortable and has made me confident in his opinions as the medical professional he is. He doesn’t sugar coat, and when it comes to your fur babies you wouldn’t want him to anyway. His staff is equally as caring and I couldn’t recommend this vet enough. They are also extremely accepting and welcoming of any and all people. Please, take your animals here and support this amazing veterinarian.

After a somewhat concerning incident we were able to get in same day to see Dr. Wheeler, we were so grateful and impressed with his "bedside manner" with our elderly pup. He really did have a great approach with her and she was not nearly as anxious as she usually is. He took the time to explain the options and we were very comfortable with the plan. I give DC Ranch animal hospital nothing but compliments, every member of the staff was professional and friendly.

I can not recommend DC Ranch Animal Hospital enough!!! Dr. Wheeler and the ENTIRE staff are absolute rockstars! They are so caring, compassionate and kind. They make even the most fearful animals feel so comfortable and they really take the time to listen to your concerns and get to the root of the problem and clearly explain your options to you without throwing a bunch of unnecessary tests and charges your way. Their office is always a very calm and clean environment for your fur babies. I trust them completely with my personal pets and with our rescue dogs. Working in rescue, I have worked with a lot of great and not so great vets, and these guys are hands down the very best!!!
