North buckeye animal hospital has been nothing short of incredible when taking care of our three cats and our three dogs. They helped us when our Birdy boy got sick and Dr McLaughlin helped us let go of bird and I will forever be great full of her and the nurse that day I truly appreciate you both and everyone at North buckeye for being so kind and compassionate every single time we came in. You're always honest and always answered all of our questions. They do follow-up calls and they even sent us flowers which is just incredible. Thank you so much.

A big thank you to Ray & to Dr. B for taking the time to thoroughly explain the medical interventions and for easing my anxieties following my dog's hospital stay at a separate location. The exceptional care we received here has made me confident in choosing this location as my babies' new primary vet! They really go out of their way to provide the best care possible.

This place was great...at first. In early 2023 I brought my pug in for a wellness check and vaccines and was asking the doctor why my dog was walking a little funny and he was slowly losing control of his bowels and having potty breaks that unexpected times, and she told me after her evaluation that it was very likely behavioral. So we switched up his diet and we switched up when he was allowed to go certain places and, how often he was walking. Fast forward one year and nothing has worked. He didn't appear to be in pain but for certain it seemed like he was kind of torn up about accidentally having potty breaks unexpectedly, same doctor examines him and figures because his pee smells funny maybe he has a UTI. So we started him on medication and we took some X-rays in case there was anything we could learn from them. Those cost about $500 and we learned nothing. Forward about 10 days or so and he's finished with his medication, and the walking problems are still there, like his booty is a drift car driver and the front of him goes around the corner and then the back half of them has to drift and swing around the corner like it's two different pugs in charge of the front and the back. At this point I've suggested a couple different things that it could be based on his list of symptoms like myelopathy, and here we are now a month ago and his UTI is back. Now, again, we're doing blood work, a urinalysis, a culture on his bacteria in the urine to make sure there's not some underlying reason why his body would be not accepting the UTI medication. I'm now on a payment plan and I'm into these guys for about $2,000 when another doctor calls me up and Begins by suggesting that she could set up a consultation with a neuro vet because they can't quite figure out what's wrong with him. By the end of that conversation, which is basically her telling me that they don't frickin have any idea what's going on with him, she's just emailing me a short list of neurological veterinarians that I should call and set up a consultation with. A real screw you on the way out the door. On top of all that in that last conversation, the doctor we spoke to conceded that it looks a lot like myelopathy because he's not in pain and he has all the familiar symptoms, especially a reoccurring UTI from not emptying the bladder completely when he pees. So I basically paid them $2,000 to agree with me in the end and then they shoved me out the door. You want to help this animal? Why don't you give me half of my money back so I can afford to get a CT scan when I go see the new doctor Why fleece this dog's Daddy for two grand, just to end up sending me to your buddy so he can make some money too? It seems like his UTI is under control but that just means his Pee doesn't smell near as funny, and both sets of medication came to a whopping total of about 86 bucks. Also, if you get on a payment plan with this place and you think you're going to have to have two expensive visits or more, make sure they're within 60 days of each other because they can't combine the payment plans if they're not. Which means that if your pet had an emergency let's say, omce every 61 days for 5 months, and you had to make a payment plan every time, you would have five payment plans.
Just thought it was worth sharing my experience in case anybody out there has a dog with similar symptoms. I would not suggest this place. My little man did not deserve to walk around for a whole year with a UTI, which apparently on the second visit was really easy to diagnose.

Andie has been our tech for all of our appointments I believe and she is just so amazing at what she does. She is always super informative, let's us know all the different avenues we can take for our situation at the time, and creates such a personal environment for us by remembering her patients. I'm fairly newer to the area and I'm glad this vet is the first place I chose because I will not be going anywhere else. We have an amazing experience every time.

I dropped a rib bone my cookie swooped in grabbed it and before I can do anything she was choking on it. Hubby and I rushed her into the car to the closet vet. I have minimal vision so when I got inside I let them know she was in the car choking with no leash. Long story short the ladies jumped into action even offering to guide me. The whole process took 5 mins. I had my baby back healthy and happy all free of charge. I was in tears I couldn't believe how helpful and compassionate this entire staff was.

First time visit was great no issues at all. I have 3 other dogs, we'll see how those go next. Staff was very friendly, welcoming and I loved how they treated my dog as it was his first time at this vet.
