Love this practice! Got transferred after AMC in Manchester closed, and haven't been happier. My dog Luna was close to not making it, but thanks to the knowledgeable and super friendly team she's completely healed and doing great. I don't know if we could've gotten here without them. There were 2 very close calls, but they worked us through it! My very good girl Luna, and I thank you guys!

Brought my malamute in for her annual exam. Saw our technician, Josh, at our appointed time and he asked about her diet, appetite and waste. After getting the vitals and health updates situated, I then met the veterinarian, Dr Krystle Schultz. The doctor explained to me what she was looking at and looking for, then gave me time to ask questions. I appreciate the focus of the appointment and the thrift in which it was carried out. The visit summary was emailed to me, which kept my hands free so I could shepherd my 120 lb dog back to the car. I highly recommend this clinic. One last item: I used the online contact form and received a response with 15 minutes.

I am so beyond grateful for this office and for Dr.Schultz. Our dog has had multiple health issues. Every time we call they fit us in and take the best care of her. Dr.Schultz always gets down on the ground to greet, love on and comfort our Ellie. She is kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and truly cares about the animals in her care. I truly trust Dr.Schultz and her team. Thank you to Dr.Schultz and the entire team for always taking such wonderful care of our girl and for always thoroughly explaining everything to her humans. We feel so lucky to have you as Ellie's care team.

Some of the providers were excellent, but left the practice. Fairly priced. Super up-charge so know what your pet needs, never have appointments available & generally don’t care about the animals they have in their practice. Cancel without warning or notice. Leave the animals without care, treatment or prescriptions they need. First question, “Do you have pet insurance?” Keep looking for quality care. These people don’t actually care about the animals & don’t know how to relate to their humans.

I have 2 GSD’s (9 and 1.5) and Dr. Shultz is my Vet. She has been so fantastic with my dogs. Especially my senior dog who needs regular care, she always makes room for us! So grateful for this team including Ryan and Taylor who are the techs I have worked with mostly~ my dogs are family and they treat them like such. It gives a lot of peace of mind especially when both my dogs can be anxious at the vet. She answers all my questions, is very thorough, and the prices are VERY reasonable. So grateful to have a vet this excellent so close to us!

If you are looking for the most amazing, caring, friendly, gentle, patient, veterinary clinic in this State, you found it here! Not only are Dr. Smith and Dr.? Amazingly qualified to care for your pet, but they have a staff working there who are all the most wonderful animal friendly people, you will ever meet. And they saved the life of our dog Harleigh! Harleigh is a 6 yr. old American Bulldog. She is a big part of our family and we love and spoil her a whole lot. She unfortunately is not people or animal friendly, except with us and our son. So to say that she protects us, would be an understatement. However, this did NOT deter S.W.V. from taking Harleigh as a new patient at their clinic. And believe me when I tell you that I made my fair share of calls and requests, that were all turned down, before I found S.W.V.
My story is long, but i feel i have to tell it.
Harleigh was the first female dog we owned which we didn't spay. Initially, we thought we may like her to have a litter. But she never did. So on the morning of January 20th, she woke up and was bleeding. She really should be through with her heats by now. And at the last visit Josh was discussing this with us. So something told me that this probably wasn't her heat. But she was acting normal, so I briefly hesitated before calling. However, Harleigh was licking herself more than normal, and the color of the blood was darker than normal, so I called the vet. And spoke with Josh. Who always works with Harleigh...and knows her as well as us. He told us to keep a close eye on her & Call back if anything changes. He said that it sounded text book for this bad infection that unspayed female dogs can get, that it can be life threatening if not caught in time and treated! So, .now I'm nervous, but keeping a close eye on her. Within 20 minutes of that call, things went downhill quickly! Next thing I know, we are in the car, rushing to see Josh and Dr. Smith at the vet. They drew blood, examined her, took an x-ray and without hesitation, told us that she had that infection so badly, that if she didn't have emergency surgery that evening, she might not make it!
So, the amazing Angel's that they all are at this clinic, stayed after hours to make sure that Harleigh had surgery that night! That everything and anything they could do to help her and us was done! And the concern, kindness and compassion that they showed us, was something I never experienced or expected; but was everything we got. And everything they gave to Harleigh while she was sick, scared, away from us, and not knowing what was going on.
I am soo happy to say that Harleigh made it through her surgery with flying colors, and is on her road to recovery. She will be on antibiotics for a while. And she has quit a few stitches, but she's home and alive!
I can not thank the doctors and staff at South Windsor Veterinary Clinic enough for what they did. To them, I am forever thankful! You saved our dogs life! You truly are Angel's sent from Animal heaven. Your kindness could never go un-noticed. Harleigh is forever grateful to you all! ?
THANK YOU
Kim, Terry, & Harleigh

And to the woman who out of the kindness of her heart, helped us, we thank you and are very grateful to you as well.
