HIGHLY recommend Pinnacle!

After a horrible traumatic experience at an urgent care in Delaware with our American Bully…we went to Pinnacle.

The experiences and people we encountered at Pinnacle were top notch! The front office staff are amazing, compassionate, dedicated and hardworking, the techs/nurses are amazing with the animals, the doctors are so on point with everything, and very thorough.

The level of care my dog received, the 3 times we have been in 2024, was fantastic and so reassuring.

There’s just no words to express how appreciative I am to Pinnacle and their entire staff for how they cared for my boy Bishop. There’s no other place I will take my animals for emergent/urgent visits than Pinnacle. Thank you!

It is sometimes tough to leave a positive review when the outcome is so heartbreaking to you, but Pinnacle is nothing short of amazing. My beloved Stinkbug had communicated to me that her journey was over after 15 perfect and loved-filled years. She had spent some time in a different animal hospital but the supportive care didn't afford her a full recovery and, as much as I hated it, I had accepted it. We didnt go back to the other hospital and opted for Pinnacle bc I heard from a friend that they don't argue you about care (that is known to be futile) versus compassionate euthenasia. The same cannot be said of the other (much closer to home) animal hospital.

They were so gentle and patient with me, my husband, and my other cat. I was saying goodbye to my very best friend and they allowed me to weep and take my time. They explained everything gently to me and allowed me to hold her as long as I wanted. My baby's ashes came back to me very quickly so now she will always be with me. I will never not recommend Pinnacle. I hope another animal hospital stay is not in my near future for my surviving baby, but I will never consider another hospital.

We are so pleased with the entire staff at Pinnacle. We cannot thank you enough for nursing our little Shichon back to health. She was admitted for Acute Kidney Failure and Liver damage. She was incredibly sick and it’s so difficult to put your loved one in the hands of others, but the doctors and other staff made us feel comfortable the whole 5 days she was there. We received text and photo updates daily. Dr. Laurie Prober was her Internal Medicine Specialist and she took so much time and had so much patience throughout my dogs entire hospital stay. And also a special thank you to her first doctor, Dr. Chin, and the rest of the staff who were always so helpful, caring and prompt with answering our questions. We 100% recommend this Emergency Vet.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars … they are AMAZING! I brought my dog, Cheddar, in at 3am because he was having seizures and the staff was absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond for us! Met us at the door and took the best care of Cheddar that night, keeping us updated and in the loop with everything they did. We brought him back a few days later for an ultrasound and I can’t say enough good things about Liz in radiology. She sat with us in the lobby to build comfort and trust with cheddar before bringing him back for his test. She truly went above and beyond making sure he felt comfortable. I truly can’t say enough good things about this vet!!!!

I could not be more grateful for the team at Pinnacle Vet. My dog was admitted to the ER and needed emergency surgery, of course leaving my family and I very worried. The entire team from the front desk staff, to the nurses, and the doctors made us feel at ease that our dog was in the absolute best of hands and exactly where she needed to be at that time. Her doctors (Dr. May, Dr. Slavick, and Dr. Canda) were communicative throughout the whole process, explained every part of her procedure and recovery to me, and answered all my questions with expert knowledge and attention to my dog’s quality of life. Her nurses (especially Drew) sent me text message updates throughout the entire day and promptly answered every text I sent asking for updates. I even personally witnessed one of the front desk staff take the time to go sit next to a very distressed client in the lobby, during a very busy night, just to comfort them as they waited to hear back about their dog (asking them to tell them 5 things they see, 4 things they could touch, etc.).

My dog was able to come home with me a few days after her surgery, and is on her way to a full recovery thanks to the veterinary professionals at Pinnacle. I truly couldn’t be more thankful to all of them for making us feel so supported and cared for during a very difficult time.

I brought my cat Shax here after he was having a major respiratory event and I noticed he was panting and breathing hard through his nose. Thank god I brought him in in time. The techs and vet doctors at Pinnacle saved his life and although I don't know how much longer he has on this earth, we get to spend a little more time with him thanks to Pinnacle. We found out my cat has a serious heart condition and was put on several medications that Pinnacle has a cardiologist specialist that will continue to monitor him. Even if I only get another month or two with my cat, I am so relieved and thankful he didn't pass that night and he's alive today because of what Pinnacle did to save him, and for that I would pay any price.

My dog and I had a less than ideal experience during his time of need this past Wednesday. After being there for 5 hours and charged $1000 for an X-ray and bloodwork to diagnose his reason for vomiting daily, I was handed a report and told by a vet they did not see signs of obstruction. He was treated for gastritis, prescribed medication and we left. Over 24 hours later I received a TEXT message from another vet telling me “the radiologist feels that there may have been foreign material”. I paid for a radiologist to read the X-ray when we were present at the clinic. I was never informed during my time there that a radiologist did not read his X-ray. Nevertheless, I paid for more than a “feeling”, maybe it was a poor choice of words by the communicator, but as the pet owner that was very unsettling, I needed certainty in that moment, I needed an educated explanation, not a “feeling” this was already over 24 hours after I took my pet in for an EMERGENCY. I was then informed that another vet recommended we bring him in to recheck the x-rays (an additional $660, $245 for the exam and $415 for x-rays, when I voiced my displeasure and disappointment in the misdiagnosis we received the new vet did say they would not charge me a new exam fee) to see if the material has moved. I had then declined to return to their location and requested that his vet be sent the report for a follow up. I was told “of course! That’s totally fine”. I was under the impression the report would be sent immediately. All of this was communicated to me via text message. After another night of my dog experiencing more vomiting I called his primary vet to get their opinion on the situation to find that they were never sent the report, my vet had to call and request the report themselves from Pinnacle. After my vet reviewed the report I was told to come in, upon my arrival through their doors and before any tests at all the receptionists informed me my dog had a corn cob creating a blockage. The report my vet received after they called Pinnacle was entirely different than what was communicated to me by Pinnacle directly during and after my visit. My vet’s office knew more about my dogs situation than even I did. My dog had emergency surgery at his vet to remove the blockage. Pinnacle misdiagnosed my dog and I will never return again. If I hadn’t listened to my gut and solely trusted their “experts” I probably would have lost my dog. I would not trust them with regular pet care let alone in an emergency situation. While the vet techs I dealt with were nice, the overall medical care was less than ideal.

Our pup has been experiencing some partial seizures and seizure like behavior. After the most recent episode, we consulted with our normal vet and she recommended Pinnacle for further testing. At our appointment, the nurse and neurologist were extremely kind and thorough. We are very thankful for the staff who made a scary experience as comfortable as possible.
