We moved to Saddlebrooke 5 months ago. We established a relationship with Mesquite Veterinary Clinic just 6 weeks ago with a first meet and greet and a wonderful first impression of the front desk and vet. Our vet was thorough but not pushy. Our dear girl was 15 and we knew we were on borrowed time. Sadly we had to put our girl down last Friday. We were frantic for help and showed up at the clinic before they opened. The incoming vet saw us at the door and immediately sent staff out to help. They were so kind and put our girl down in the car in my lap with the most loving display of concern and care. We were new clients yet we felt like old friends. I received the most personal card from them today with over 10 employees signing personal notes of love and support. I cannot recommend these people and the clinic more. There is not a high enough rating! Thank you all for helping us through this grief.

My cat had a bad allergic reaction. When calling for an urgent appointment they were able to get her in right away. The staff was fast and thorough. They gave my cat a shot and gave me some meds to take home and was a quick process. A little over 24 hours later and my cat is back to 100%

I took my cat, Yari, here because he had a really bad cough/ congestion, noting that there was another cat in the house who was a little sniffly but nothing nearly as bad as Yari. The doctor took his temp (fever of 103), listened to his lungs with a stethoscope, and declared that he had "something probably infectious, possibly viral" and that he would have to "work through it himself". They prescribed antibiotics and pain meds and sent me home. A few days later he's really struggling to breath, so I called back and they told me he might just need to come back for some more tests, but there was no real concern for him. I ended up taking him to Veterinary Emergency Group who diagnosed him with a severe case of asthma (to which he was showing "classic symptoms") which was exasperated by a case of FIP. He's been hospitalized for 2 days in an oxygen chamber and almost didn't make it. The staff here at mesquite did not seem to care about my boy and it nearly cost him his life. Without treatment FIP is almost certainly fatal, and definitely not something he could "work through himself". If they would've run tests they could've found the asthma and treated with steroids which is also part of the treatment for FIP, but the clinic was busy and because of that I'm assuming they didn't want to take up the time, instead sending me home with useless medication. I will not be coming back.

Our Dachshund is not very friendly with people he doesn't know, but the staff here are always great with him. They are very patient and know how to handle him, and they never make us feel like we need to put him on meds before they will see him (as other vets have said to us), but the meds just make the problem worse and make him more anxious. They were very helpful and took great care of him when he was in pain, presumably from hurting his back. They even came into the exam room to check us out so we wouldn't have to move him since he was hurting. He is his normal self once again. Thank you to all the Drs. and staff.

In a time where getting in to see a Vet is difficult at best, we were able to have our older dog seen the morning we called as an Urgent Care appointment. Only for a about $20 more a than a regular one. The staff, especially the Tech were amazing. After the initial exam, a detailed plan was printed out including a high and low range of the costs for each service. Extremely helpful in determining the course of care.
