I took our dog to Island Animal Hospital after she experienced her first seizures, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care we received. Despite being new patients, we were seen within hours of calling. Nate, the vet tech, was friendly and attentive, as was Dr. Brady, who delivered the difficult news about our Chloe's brain tumor with compassion, explaining our options and providing medication to help manage her seizures. I was especially touched when she called the next day to check in on our Chloe!!

We were not patients there, but they came highly recommended from a co-worker. We were being seen to unfortunately put our dog to sleep. They made the process very peaceful and loving. I wish we had known about them before so that our dog Sophie could have experienced their love and compassion beforehand.
As soon as we walked in the door they brought us back to a private waiting room. They were very gentle and explained everything with the process. They were very patient and gave us as much time as we needed. The vet technician, Michael was amazing. He was so compassionate. The doctor Megan was very gentle and kind.
I hate that we had to experience this, but they were amazing and I am beyond thankful for their care during this time.

LOVE your hospital and love the new place as we have been bringing "the kids" to your establishment since when you were at the old location. The place is always clean, LOVE the pharmacy being right there and the staff is always happy to see you and take care of the babies.

I do want to give some possible" additions" to what you already do, if I may. First and foremost, when we bring Poo (Buttercup) in for an appointment, its ALWAYS an extremely stressful situation for her and she shakes, pants and hyperventilates the entire time she is there, I don't know why, I think she just knows people are going to be "sticking things in her" when she walks in the door! I know its probably the "hospital mascot", but NOTHING makes Poo shake and tremble more than that SCREECHING, SCREAMING Cockatiel that can be heard even before you open the door to come into the building. I hate to say it, but if someone, ANYONE, thinks that's "cute", you need to rethink that for certain. If ever the words "out of sight, out of mind" were relevant, this would be the case.

Next thing, and I know I am not the only one who has ever said this, but there is no way to give Poo and "water" when we are awaiting the technician or doctor. I always have to cup my hand and get water from the sink for her to drink. Some small, little plastic cups would be great for this. I almost always remember to bring her "trail water bottle" when I come there, sometimes I forget.

Like I said above, your place is the best and we'll always bring My Little Butter cup whenever she needs to visit!

Let me start by saying I have had mostly bad experiences with vets so I rarely take my pets anymore. We took our cat here recently because she stopped eating. They were excellent to work with and were reasonable and worked with us. Unfortunately a few days later test results came back and unfortunately we had to make the very difficult decision to put our cat down. The entire staff was so compassionate, understanding, and kind and made such a painful experience a little bit easier to deal with. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Compassionate. Caring. Empathetic. I called on a Sunday. It was suddenly my babies time to go, and they got me in immediately. They were so caring and understanding. Reassuring me along the way I was doing the right thing. There was no extra charge for the weekend. They gave me my privacy in the end and let me say my goodbyes. I will NEVER go to another vet now. As hard of a process at it was, they made us as easy and as comfortable for me and my baby as possible and made me know I did the right thing and she went peacefully. Thank you to the wonderful staff! I can never thank you enough. RIP Tequila ❤️❤️

Dr Dowst (sp?) for Mischa today and Jennifer her Tech and Everyone and Everything was ALL Wonderful! Correctly diagnosed my Senior "Kitten" and Saved his sweet little life. He's been a Great friend for over 17Yrs. Go to Island Animal Hospital..You Cannot go wrong. I'm very impressed with this facility. I brought in my dog last week for an emergency visit and they took me in the same day despite the fact that I had never been here. Dr. Brady was excellent and provided amazing care for my pup. She performed surgery on her the next day and called with some bad news. She was very kind and walked me through next steps. It has been the hardest thing I've ever gone through, but I'm so thankful I brought her somewhere with such caring employees. She even called this morning to check how my dog was doing. I'm hoping for the best - thanks for all you do, Island Animal Hospital.
