I recently had to rush my dog, Luxury, to Urgent Pet Vets, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their exceptional care. From the moment I called, the staff was compassionate and reassuring, understanding my frantic worry. They were able to see Luxury immediately, which was a huge relief. They quickly diagnosed the problem and provided effective treatment. The entire team was professional, kind, and genuinely cared about Luxury’s well-being. The facility was clean and well-equipped. While no one wants to have a pet emergency, I highly recommend Urgent Pet Vets for their prompt, professional, and compassionate care. They truly went above and beyond, and I’m so thankful they were there for Luxury and me.

*STAY AWAY* Worst place I've ever been. All they care about is $. Found a stray dog in my backyard after work Monday it was the only place open. The dog was in very bad shape very malnourished and was crying in pain. We were then put in a room by the vet tech and he came in and checked the dog out , he said that she was in very bad shape and needed help and how it’s so sad to see animals in this shape. He then toke the dog’s temperature and said the vet should be in soon. Shortly after the vet came in, from the very start she had a very nasty attitude towards the abandon suffering dog.
She then proceeded to say she would need to ring up an estimate for us before even touching or truly acknowledging the dog. After bringing the estimate back to us which came out to almost 1,200 dollars she then stated how this would only cover the blood work and the initial exam but including x-rays or any type of treatment. After I stated how me and family were unable to pay that absurd amount and how we brought her in for help which was promised to us on the phone prior to us even driving 45 mins to the vet clinic. She then stated there was nothing that she could do and that in her opinion if we can’t pay that price we should put her down and how If we don’t have the money we shouldn’t have taken the responsibility on helping the dog . We then stated how we couldn’t leave a helpless animal to suffer. The vet then said that since we can’t pay the price or do a payment plan then we “can take the dog home and let it die” those were her exact words. This vet is truly the worst I have ever seen she has no sympathy for animals and truly is only is this field for her own self and financial benefit. If you truly love and care about your pet STAY VERY FAR AWAY.

I'm so glad we found Urgent Pet Vets! My girl-dog got a hot spot in her ear flap, and it became infected the day before hurricanes Milton hit. The few vet offices that were open were fully booked. So, at 2:00, on the day before the second major Florida hurricabe within two weeks, we took her to Pet Vets. The vets treated her ear, and we left with antibiotics in a more than reasonable amount of time. Our girl is doing well now. Thank you Pet Vets!

I went there tonight because my kitten might have swallowed a foreign object. The dr automatic wants to do X-rays and would give fluids. Went to heat up X-ray machine. Was gone a long time. The receptionist came in with a 1,078 bill. Are u kidden me. Still wanted $85 office visit. They didn’t even take him out of carrier and examine him. We left. Will call reg vet if need to.

Our beautiful Frenchton, Ruby, slashed her back paw at 8 pm on a Monday night. She was running around the house, leaving blood everywhere! Of course, her regular Vet was out of the question at that hour! We were terrified on many levels, but the Doctors Mercer put us at ease and quickly took her back to examine her. She had severed an artery and needed emergency surgery! Of course, we held our breath while trying to figure out how to pay, but once we did, they wasted no time doing a wonderful job saving her life! There were no surprises, no nickel & diming or extra charges for the follow up visits. Just great professional care, from Doctors who love their patients and Ruby absolutely loves the Doctors who saved her life. Every time we go back, she can't wait to get in the front door! We would definitely choose Urgent Pet Vets again! Thanks to Doctors Mercer and Mercer, she's a happy girl!

*STAY AWAY* Worst place I've ever been. Alls they care about is $. My cat was dying on a Sunday and it was the only place open. We sat in the waiting room, the Vet came out and asked what was going on, without even touching my poor baby. They proceeded to tell us that she needed blood work and that we needed to put her to sleep, my cat never even got out of her carrier. Then the receptionist came with the cost of everything, $485, and we asked if they could bill us as we couldn't even afford $100 that day. Nope, we had to have up front. I was so upset but they didn't care in the least. We decided to leave and find somewhere else, they followed us to the car saying they were calling the cops.They were not at all friendly or sympathetic whatsoever . Worst experience ever. Do not take your babies, animals there. My cat ended up passing away the next day under the care of a friendly compassionate Vet.
