I have been unfortunate enough to have brought two pets to the emergency vet this summer. First my cat decided to eat 3 feet of string. Dr. Siegel and her team went straight to work. After some surgery, my cat came home the next day and has been doing fantastic since. Next my husky killed a coral snake in my yard. I was so worried he had been bit. Bloodwork was ordered and he is currently home being goofy as ever. Staff is very caring, and quick to respond! Thank you for helping my animals!!!

I’ve had such great care for my dog Phoebe when she got bit on the face and now my poor little Jackson hurt his neck so bad and they’ve done so many wonderful treatments on him. The girls call me give me updates. Let me know how he’s doing teach me how to care for him properly they’re wonderful wonderful staff. Dr. Siegel is a very caring that and she tries to explain everything so you understand how to do the best care for your dog. Or any other animal thank you so much Dr. Siegel.

My 7 1/2 Doberman puppy began limping for no reason. First one hind leg for about 2 weeks then to other leg but much worse. I brought her to this clinic and Dr Siego saw her immediately. We had to wait outside in the rain under a porch covering. She said she has "growing pains" or Panosteittis, which effects the long bone of rear legs and can spread to front legs . She showed us two X-rays but billed for 5. The marrow of both legs showed a spongy like marrow. Upon researching many sites, I found that this is actual bone growing inside but does NOT effect the use of the legs but causes pain and limping for about two weeks. She prescribed rectal ozone suspension inserted in rectum. Upon research, I found that this is a holistic approach and is for blood disorders and allergy treatment then Paws CBD oil for allergy which also helps with pain. Then a bottle of evolve herbal liquid used for inflammatory disease -and skin problems, which she had neither of. My dog got un-necessary drugs and all she needed was carafen for pain as only time takes care of panosteittis. Then she wanted me to allow her to send report to a orthopedic dr for 175.00 consult! My total bill was not bad for a Emergency (478.00) but The drugs I did not need (except for carafen only) so I am not happy with her and not happy with her shortness and rush to get us gone without getting questions answered. She pushes holistic treatments and wanted me to sign up for her course on it. I would not recommend her for emergency services and I would advise you to check her bill out before u pay. Oh, you don't get a paper bill, only emailed one without telling of her evaluation! Janet Herold March 31,2022@ Two weeks later... dog still has a slight limp but better. This dr replied to my post with many untrue statements. She said Zi could not listen to her as I was too busy chain smoking! I was smoking first time she came out and she loudly said she was allergic to smoke and could not stand the smell so ZI immediately walked to bare ground and put it out . The next time she came out I was not smoking. She made many untrue statements I came home from vet and immediately researched this disease and found that it is BONE developing inside the marrow and not SPONGY MATERIAL , I also called a vet who said they never give anything but Carofen for pain and that ,my choice, to stop the other meds as nothing helps this but time It is normally called growing pains. I stopped the meds and she was herself in two days but still limping. Look at other posts about her and you will know that she is brash and rude to people. Take your animal somewhere else.

I deeply regret bringing my critically ill 14 year old dog to this "emergency" vet the day before she passed. She had severe diarrhea (including passing nothing by blood) , vomiting, extreme difficulty walking and standing and labored breathing. I didn't know my dog was dying and neither did the veterinarian who examined her. The veterinarian spent the majority of the time promoting her homeopathic credentials and customized raw diet. She even recommended chiropractic adjustments for my dog's spine. I left the vet with food my dog would never eat (she died the next morning) and unrealistic expectations that she would get better. My dogs health deteriorated rapidly over the next 12 hours. I then took her to an actual emergency vet. Within 20 minutes, that veterinarian knew my dog was dying; her pulmonary, neurological, and digestive systems were shutting down. To save my dog from further suffering, we let her go.

I brought my cat in because of urinary issues and, while I was pleased to have her evaluated, I was given an incorrect diagnosis that could have ended her life. I was told that there were crystals in her bladder, no UTI, no blockage, and I was sent home with alternative medicine Kefir, cranberry pills, etc.). Basically, I was blamed for not feeding her raw food, only store bought, so I was responsible for the bladder problem. Then I was told by Dr. Siegel to take her online course for 155.00. While I appreciate alternative medical practices, this was a blatant error in diagnosis and proper veterinary practices should have been implemented. When she worsened, I took her to another vet who told me she was obstructed and unable to urinate. Another day and it would have been life ending. Please reconsider before taking your baby to this practice.

Where do I begin? Yesterday our family dog Bonnie was viciously attacked by a pit bull. Bonnie is a 14 year old 13 pound shitzu. Our veterinarian recently closed their doors permanently so I picked up the phone and called a few Vets. Most of the vets were clearly only concerned with profit first. Then I called Animal Emergency Services of Pasco. They answered the phone immediately and they explained that due to the Covid 19 situation they were away from the office but they also reassured me that they would be in the office in 15 minutes. I was met in the parking lot by Dr. Siegel. Dr. Siegel took Bonnie back to the procedure room and examined her. Dr. Siegel came out to the front and explained to me in detail the extent of Bonnie's injuries. She gave me at least three different treatment options ranging from very conservative to what she felt would be the most beneficial. Turns out Bonnie was hurt way worse then we initially thought. Bonnie had multiple injuries that would require surgery to fix. Dr. Siegel suggested Bonnie stay the night so they could give her an IV and and some sedatives to calm her down and then she could repair her injuries first thing in the morning. At this point I thought to myself what great service and what a great doctor. The service only got better from there. When I got home I received a text message followed by 2 additional text messages including pictures throughout the evening. This brought my family a lot of peace and comfort. First thing in the morning I received a text message with a picture letting us know Bonnie was doing great and being prepped for surgery. Through out the morning I received several more text messages with updates. Bonnie would end up needing sedation and tons of sutures including two drains placed in her neck. They even went the extra mile and gave Bonnie a haircut and a bath since the groomers have been closed due to the pandemic. Bonnie is home now resting comfortably with our family. We are very thankful for Dr. Siegel and her staff. Now i noticed most complaints listed above are about money. Let me say this some of the other Vets quoted us two times as much as AES. These quotes were without Bonnie needing blood work,sedation and surgery. The other Vets price were more then double just for basic sutures and that did not include staying over night. Not only was going to AES the best vet experience I have ever experienced, they were extremely fair on their cost of services. I highly recommend you trusting Dr. Siegel and her team to care for your loved one.

Writing an edit to my previous review. We rescued my best friend 5 months ago from a previous owner who kept him outside his whole life and never properly gave him treatments or payed attention to his health, so we took over and started him off on heart worm medicine and flea medicine, which he’s been getting for the past 4 months and we were still waiting for our order of more medicine to come so he missed this months medication. I took my dog Max in Saturday evening, after finding that he was digging in the yard and came across a piece of glass which cut through the top of his nose. Immediately noticing the amount of blood that was pouring out his nose, we rushed to the nearest emergency vet which happened to be this one. When we got there the assistant immediately grabbed paper towels and started applying pressure, she then handed us the paper towels to continue to apply pressure (which was difficult due to Max being very overwhelmed and uncomfortable and he didn’t want anything touching his face because with applying pressure it made it hard for him to breathe since he couldn’t pant) she then went to grab a mop bucket to start cleaning up the blood, which was pointless because he was still shooting blood out of his nose. The Dr then came in and took a look at Max ( with her eyes literally just looked and called him a sweet boy) and didn’t even bother doing her duties as a vet and taking over to help stop the bleeding. She then started going over all the prices for what was needed, which included surgery to stitch together his nose, anesthesia, testing, and medications, she told us after adding it up on her calculator that it would be RIGHT AT $1,000. As a college student I’m unable to cough up $1,000 in the moment and do not own a credit card. Meanwhile Max is still bleeding and all she was concerned about was getting an answer for the surgery, making me call my mother who just recently had a surgery herself to ask for money to borrow. My mother was very emotional and didn’t know the severity of his condition and was ready to euthanize Max so he wouldn’t have to suffer, I also didn’t know the severity of it or if that much blood could cause him to bleed out, until after I told the Dr what my mother had said, she explained the blood amount was normal especially for the face area. After she asked what our budget would be and worked with it by supplying a powder to stop the bleeding and a muzzle to use which would help apply pressure. We left the vet with Max still shooting blood out. The powder was not working due to him sneezing it out. So we used her other method of sticking tightly folded paper towels into the muzzle and around midnight his bleeding finally stopped due to clotting. I called the next morning to let her know the bleeding stopped and asked if there was any way we could set up a payment plan and all she told me was to borrow money again and make payments to someone else, not helping the situation. After the phone call I was furious and took my dog to a different vet who had excellent reviews and sure enough they were nothing but excellent (Planned Pet Hood of Zephyrhills) We now have a scheduled surgery, with anesthesia, antibiotics, and even neutering including for $400. All I have to say is that if you want the best for you dog take them elsewhere unless you have thousands of dollars to dish out. This business has been open for 29 years and already has a complaint on the Better Business Bureau and most likely more to come. Maturity comes with age and this doctor surely has not matured yet, instead of working to better herself and her business she waits for google reviews to come so she can be an internet warrior. Who argues with customers over a review? Instead she should be asking what she could be doing differently. 2.0 star rating and she thinks she’s a hot shot for working “37 years in emergency care”. Hire better and more caring staff and stick to the desk Dr Siegel.
