You couldn't ask for a better or more caring office. Since their name is the same as my last name, I took this as a sign and started coming here in 2011. The care and attention I get with my fur babies exceed my expectations. Dr. Elliott is extremely caring, proactive about pet care, and errs towards what's best for the pet. I am thrilled that Dr. Henley has returned to the practice, as she is kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They recommend treatment plans and preventative care but take the time to consider what you, as the owner, need and can afford.

The office is incredibly responsive and is even more so now that they are open to texting. I have Spot Pet Insurance for my dogs, and the office staff quickly responds to their requests for information. When I boarded them at Camp Bow-Wow or took them for grooming appointments, they sent vaccination information promptly.

One of my dogs had surgery on her thyroid and needed to go to an emergency vet clinic local to the area as it was the weekend. They treated her and prescribed me some medication at $67 per pill. The following week, I returned to Chemstrand Oaks, and they gave me the same pill for $28--exactly what they paid for it with no markup. As a pet owner, I appreciate this decision and consideration of how expensive owning pets is and being a responsible pet owner.

I cannot recommend them enough, and I happily drive 45 minutes each way to take my fur babies to this office. I am a life-long fan.

Great Vet. Poor front desk office staff. All is done via text, yet you walk in and no-one is doing much of anything, they don't even take time to greet you when you come in. Customer service is greatly lacking. No way I would be paying staff to TEXT customers. Elderly trying to get out the door with carriers, and they sit looking down and can't be bothered to get up and help. Never thought I would see this happen at Dr. Elliott's practice. I have run a business, and there is no way my staff would be texting my customers.

The folks here at Chemstrand Oaks Veterinary Hospital really care about your pet. Everyone here kind, knowledgeable and informative. My dog had to get a few shots and she didn't even realize it happened to her. Her tail never stopped as everyone treated her like she was their own. I've been a pet owner for 40 + years & I can honestly say I have never met a Veterinarian that was more knowledgeable than Dr Elliott, in whom I have the utmost respect for and completely trust him & his staff 100%(they truly care and it shows even moreso as they graciously take their time to explain everything in understandable terms).

In just 1 visit you will know you found the best Veterinarian & supportive staff to care for your pets from then on out. You can trust that your pets will get the best care possible AND.... since Dr Elliott continually researches and studies to stay up to date & educated in an effort to consistently provide the highest level of care for all of his patients, if he doesnt have the answer and a solution..... he will research until he does. Plus.... he personally calls to fill you in on his findings etc. I know 1st hand because 1 of our cat children has special needs & if it weren't for Dr. Elliott's expertise & treatment plans..... we would have been forced to put our cat to sleep 2 years ago . I truly believe the Lord had a hand in directing us to Dr Elliott .

Dr Elliott is a specialist when it comes to cats and that is 1 of the many reasons why we only trust our 3 Bengals (and a group of ferals) to the outstanding folks at Chemstrand Oaks Vet.

I have been using Dr. Mike Elliott at Chemstrand Oaks for 20 years and he and his team are the best I’ve ever encountered in caring for pets more than 50 years from California to New York. He is knowledgeable, explains problems clearly and truly cares about you and your pet. He has on three occasions saved the life of our precious Mini-Dachshund, Lucy, who has the bad habit of eating things she shouldn’t. He even diagnosed and treated a rare auto-immune disease that I dare say few vets would have done. I would never trust anyone else for my pet’s care. I’d give him 50 stars if Google would let me.
