Nick was very nice and helpful. He came to our house tonight to pick up a baby wren. We named the wren Roy. He was so tiny and could not fly. The mother bird wanted nothing to do with him. We tried all day. His siblings all flew away today but he was left behind. I sure hope Roy will be able to fly soon.

Every time I go to the St Francis hospital I am amazed at the wonderful care that is being given to all the animals. From song birds to turtles all receive loving care and attention.

I took a baby possum, who's eyes was still closed, to them.
Listen to their interactions, I could hear that they was ? happy working there.
The lady in charge told me, when I asked, that she drives all the way from Waldosta GA every day. Now that's dedication.
Everyone was friendly.
Great place.

Not very helpful. Called about a fledgling i found in the middle of Mahan Road. The first thing I was told, "you need to put it back into the nest" Obviously the young lady answering the phone was more interested in telling me what I had to do vs listening to the problem. St. Francis used to be a good source of information and help. Now it seems filled with self righteous individuals who act as if the person calling is destroying the environment. I guess ill find another wildlife group to donate too.

i love this place, i found a baby bunny that my cat attacked and dropped it off at a nearby emergency vet, and st francis came and picked it up.
the one thing i think they should ask your opinion on and the reason to your opinion is, if they think it’s best to return it to the place you found it. i found the bunny at my house, and my cat has recently been going on a killing spree with baby bunnies. the minute they returned it back to our house, my cat killed it. they shouldn’t return it to the same place if there’s a reasonable reason not to, such as a predator that literally sits in front of their nest and waits until they leave to kill them. i’d get it if it was a hawk, cause they need it in order to live and feed their babies. but, my cat gets fed everyday, and has no reason to kill one every single day except for instinct and for the fun of it.

long story short, really great place but should sometimes consider not returning the animal if it’s threatened.

Their staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. We had baby birds on our front door, and a hawk attacked their nest. We were able to re-nest them, and I called St. Francis to see if we could modify the nest or help if the mama bird didn’t come back. They were so nice and able to give us direction. The babies are doing fine and mama came back!
