Fantastic experience from first call to conclusion of appointment. Quick and easy process to schedule appointment, short waiting room time, SUPER friendly yet professional staff. It is very apparent that they all really love their job and their place of employment. Affordable services as well. 5 Star across the board. Our little (soon to be very big) Tony was very comfortable and loved during his visit. Thank you!!

All of the veterinarians, vet nurses, and staff are all knowledgeable and professional. I feel their fees are all reasonable and affordable. They are always transparent on the costs of procedures, offering alternatives if available. They have always treated my dogs with compassion and love until (two of) their last breath.

I took my senior cat here in 2020 and it was the worst experience ever. They would quote one price and bill me for double that. The staff was not very competent and dismissive. My cat had a cancerous growth on his forehead and after telling me they didn't know what it was, they refused to do any further testing or investigation regarding it. With the pandemic shutting everything down for so long, I wasn't able to get him into another vet to find out that it was cancer and get it treated until late 2020. My cat ended up needing two serious operations that could have, potentially, been avoided had the Vet we saw at Courtenay Animal Hospital been willing to treat him. I would NOT recommend you bring your pets here. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Edit: I saw the response from the clinic and the reason you were unable to find me in the system is because our cat was being seen under my late husband's name. I still stand by everything I said in my review. We were treated horribly at this clinic and I would never recommend that someone bring their pets here.

This is my regular vet ever since my 4lb Chihuahua Faith aka Noodle had a heart attack a year ago and actually died until I did CPR on her and brought her back to life. We see Dr Bishop who is such a blessing to us and I wouldn't want anyone else. We found out that Faith has a pretty large heart murmur and leaky valves. Dr Bishop checked Faith over and did some tests, and the outcome was that Dr Bishop gave me a time frame of anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months of life left based on the tests results and the sound and pics of her heart, and that was only if the 3 medications she prescribed to give her 2x daily actually worked for her. Dr Bishop told me that in a tiny dog like Faith that has such a large heart murmur like she has, that it's irreversible and with medication we could at least give her up to a few more months of life with us, but that she didn't think we would get much time. I was told to make a check up appointment for 6 months only because Dr Bishop didn't think Faith would actually be here. Well here we are almost a full year later and thanks to Dr Bishop and my husband and I taking great care of her, Faith is healthy, active, playful, and alive and most importantly she's got a "stable" heart again! Dr Bishop told me that she was shocked to hear how stable her heart was and how great she's doing. When Faith died, I was besides myself with grief and didn't know what to do, I felt lost and then my brain kicked in and thank God it did or I would've lost my little girl. February 21,2023 will be exactly 1 year that Faith had her heart attack. I wouldn't take any of my dogs to any other vet than here because they aren't there for the money like most veterinarian clinics are, they really care for your animals like they're their own. The office staff are great as well and always friendly when we visit. I recommend Courtenay Animal Hospital to anyone with any type of pet for regular care or emergency care.

Was in need of an urgent visit for my dog who wasn’t feeling well. They kindly squeezed us in on a Friday. We are new to the state and haven’t established with a new vet yet. Dr. Bishop and Angela were so great and patient with our anxious boy. Definitely would recommend and we have found our new vet!
