I had a really great time at Adairsville Animal Hospital! They saw both of my cats same day for an exam and yearly shots. The doctor and techs also offered great advice on some issues my cats are having. They’re affordable and all the employees were so friendly and kind. Thank you so much for the great experience!

Our 13 yr old Trixie had to be put to sleep. This vet and office girls surrounded us with love and support during this difficult time. I went to them because my regular vet could not get us in. I called this vet and not knowing me from Adam took my Trixie in and made us all feel we were where we were supposed to be. To say the least. I have a new vet. Thank you Amy and girls for your compassion.

Dr. Johnson cares! She takes time to follow up on how well your pet is doing post surgery. The staff cares about your pets. They are very thorough and they take the time to explain when you have questions.

We have taken our babies here for YEARS! This past week I had to take baby in for care, as she sliced her foot open.

They put staples in her foot (odd choice in my eyes, but they're the professionals, right) and told me to take the bandage off later in the evening so it could get air and dry out. I did. And this picture is what it looked like. The staples are not even IN the wound! They are loosely hanging on at best. I had to leave the room for a minute. Came back and the staples had all been taken out. I don't know if Pheeby took them out, or if they got caught on something and fell out, but needless to say I was livid!

This office is not open on weekends so I had to follow up with an emergency vet. They said that the injury should have never been attempted to have been closed up with staples due to the lack of tissue at that part of the leg/foot. No kidding! Even I could see that!

So I called the office today to explain my issue and kindly give them the opportunity to fix the issue. They charged me to put staples in that should not even have been put in. The girl at the front desk that answered the phone had no idea what was going on (beside the point but irritating when you're already upset). Then the office manager hopped on the phone and would hardly let me get a word in. She said that the "use of staples is a matter of preference". I personally would think that the use of staples in a bony area with no meat to hang on to would be more a matter of intelligence. Any way...I told her I felt that some sort of reimbursement was in order as we have gone there for years with our babies and that this visit was unacceptable. She was very short and rude, told me to have a good day and hung up.

Yall, don't go to this place. Their care and bedside manner has gone down the toilet!

Monday June 3, 2024 we took our 9 year old Lab to Adairsville Animal Hospital and when we got there the office was closed for lunch till 1:15, it was 12:15 (yes an animal hospital) Our dog was in an emergent state. Full of life 24 hours before and found the next morning laying on the porch and only could raise his head. We waited as he laid lifeless in the floorboard of the truck. When the office door unlocked I rushed him inside in my arms and layed him on the floor in the waiting room waiting for someone to assist. When the receptionist came to the service desk ask what we needed and I said he needs to be seen right away. I was asked “do you have an appointment ?” I said “ no, this has just happened” I went through the 24 hour event and she said has MoJo been here before and I said yes since he was a pup. I get the response “ well we have several appointments and I will have to check with the Dr” A couple of minutes later she returned and said “ I’m sorry but we’re not going to be able to see him and you will need to carry him to a animal ER in Marietta or there’s one in Rome” I about died. “Are you freaking kidding me” She said “no, we have several appointments that have been scheduled for a while and only 1 doctor.” I said , “ this is an emergency doesn’t that have priority over everything else?” She said “ I’m sorry we only have one doctor”. I grabbed my dog up and rushed to Plainville Best Friends Animal Hospital and they grabbed MoJo out of my arms as soon as I walked through the door, got him into the ER. Unfortunately he passed within 3-4 minutes after getting there. The staff and doctor tried to save him but the time I wasted at Adairsville Animal Hospital was irreversible.
I have paid out over $5,000 over the years with our pets at Adairsville Animal Hospital and they will never see another penny from me. If I could rate them with a “0” that’s what this place would get. H. Smith-Calhoun,Ga

Called the office to ask about taking care of my deceased pet as we live in a neighborhood and don’t have a place to bury him. The front desk lady told me I would need to put him in the freezer or bring him in now! (….totally not necessary! Really?!?!?! Who does that to people that are already suffering from the loss of their pet?! I had an appointment and couldn’t bring him in until afternoon. Instead I chose a much more professional and caring vet to take care of my baby. And I’m so glad I went elsewhere! The process was so much better and empathetic at this other facility.

Can't say enough about the veterinarian and her assistant. They were extraordinarily conscientious and always thinking ahead. All of the entire staff was thoughtful and kind! They even went as far as to send a sympathy card via "snell mail". Who does that? They did all the extras. I recommend this clinic for may reasons, but, they got our Lab/Shepard mix that had been in the family since he was 4 weeks old, back to his energy filled self when he had a virus and with care, helped us put him to sleep when he was 15 years old and life running out. Thank you, Adairsvillle Animal Hospital!

Great vet. Explains things well and is very thorough. They are kind to the animals. Support staff is fabulous. Dr. gives various options and understands that not everyone has the means to go the most expensive route. I recommend 100%.
