I cannot say enough good things about this place. We came in with our 1 year old Frenchie who was having cluster seizures for the first time ever. We were very scared, worried and didn’t have much money. The good folks here worked with us to make sure we could afford the proper care/hospitalization that our boy needed. Everyone we encountered was kind, compassionate, patient, understanding, and genuine. The neurology dept also explained his condition and treatment in great detail. We left with many reassurances, peace, and hope that our beloved Zeus was going to be just fine. We cannot express our gratitude enough. I will always refer everyone I know to UGA as I constantly sing their praises.

We had to take our GSP in after a very scary diabetic seizure on Christmas Eve. They took very good care of her and were so thankful to get her back Christmas morning. Super friendly staff.

We went to 3 different veterinary hospitals all said that she would never walk again and said we might want to think about putting her down. Took her UGA animal hospital. Come to find out she had an infection in her back . After 3 day there and a lot of love she is running and playing . She is loving life . The staff is amazing . Thank you so much and by the way we drove from Newnan Ga to take her there and would do it all over again . You guys rock . You shaved my little Bella

They are open 24 hrs and will cover treatment if you bring in strays so that is amazing!!! However I have a big complaint and I hope this is seen so management can make a small change!

I brought in a stray kitten which I had been scratched by. Long story short the kitty had rabies. They called and told me the results four days after I dropped the kitty off. They told me to go to my doctor or urgent care. I now know, this is not correct protocol at all. People who have been attacked by rabies positive animals must go to the ER. I spent a very stressful few hours hearing mixed information from different places and what to do. The ER is the only place that will consult with you and it’s the only place with the vaccine series! It is essential that the staff there can tell people this.

Unfortunately I think the vet school did not have good information on what to tell and how to treat people that had been attacked by strays. Basically they would say vaguely to say seek medical attention (“if I wanted to”). However as someone new to the area I didn’t have a primary doctor. I think they need a protocol re work.

When two other hospitals couldn't take us we made the long drive to UGA Vet Teaching School. Best decision we made. They were waiting for us when we arrived with our Baron paralyzed neck down. Was admitted and the attention he got from the staff, doctors and students. He was there four days and we were able to visit him daily during his recovery. After 6 weeks of rest, therapy and love, he now is walking on his own. Not 100% yet but amazing on where we are. God bless UGA and the program and schooling.

This is the 2nd time I take my bunny to this hospital.
The 1st time, service and staff were amazing.
This 2nd time, my bunny was diagnosed with E. Cuniculi.
When I missed the call from Dr. Brunick with the test results and called back I was told by Kaley that doctor was not available, that she left me a voicemail with the results and that if I had any questions I needed to follow-up with a primary vet or Zoom Service once medication was completed.
I felt very disappointed to receive this kind of treatment.
For anyone who has bunnies as a pet and who have tested positive with E. Cuniculi, you'd understand the questions and concerns you would have from caring for your bunny at home.
Bunny rolls on the floor and bang themselves every time they lose their balance, head gets tilted to the point where you wonder if it's going to break and in the meantime, all you have to go by is what you read online. You would think they would call you a few days after leaving the hospital, as stated by the technician, or would take your call to answer any questions you may have with regards to treatment but clearly, the doctor does not have time.
I drove over an hour to that hospital because I felt it was the best place for my bunny, especially after the great care and attention provided on the first visit and knowing I could have paid so much less somewhere else.
Never again.
Money-sucking business, is what this place is.
Be careful and always get a 2nd diagnosis and quote somewhere else.
I have no doubt that you will get a much better service and find it more affordable.

It was the only thing open after 5pm. My 3 year old dog wasn’t peeing and started throwing up. I just wanted it fixed. We took him here. We were told he had a bladder eruption and needed surgery immediately and the down payment of $3000 and total payment $7000. Or we will have to put him down. For y’all to care for animals so much. How could y’all just put them down. You all can fix it and but want to charge so much money. These are animals not humans. HOW? WHY? My kids are in so much pain thinking our dog would make it back home. He was a house dog!!!

Making the drive to UGA Teaching Hospital was the best decision. Mattie had wonderful care during her 20 days at the facility. The staff is phenomenal. Emily Adams called daily with a report of Mattie’s progress. Today she came home happy and healthy!!
