I have been a long-term customer for 38 plus years. Would not even think of going anywhere else! They have seen me at my best with my animals and Lord knows I've seen me at my worst, when I've had to say goodbye. I love the doctors, I love the staff, and they have great grooming facilities. Feel very comfortable if I have to board my animals, you don't feel as guilty if you have to leave them overnight for any reason.
Update June 2024 still love the staff and doctors. But they have had a substantial price increases!!

Before moving to Albany in the early 90’s, I contacted the local veterinarian offices at that time with this question, “I will need a veterinarian that can care for my pets which included several kinds of finches(birds), chinchillas, and a duck that I had incubated and watched her break out of her shell. Would your office be able to treat these animals?” I received the answer “No” from all but Westover Animal Hospital, instead I was put on hold and quickly Dr. Henry Hart, DVM picked up and proceeded to talk to me about my pets and said he would take us on. Taking time out of his schedule to talk to me right then and there, said it all….. this was the place for my pets. For 30+ years Dr. Hart, Dr. Hunkele, Dr. Newell, Dr.Cook, a few others over the years have taken excellent care, whether it be for emergency situations such as my dog being attacked by an owl or the accidental injury from a horse, to teeth cleaning and spay/neuter. I could not ask for more caring veterinarians. The office staff has always been amazing especially Jamie ….. she has been there for every pet or wild critter I have brought in, feels like we are family!!
I and my pets could not be happier than I have been all these years with Westover Animal Hospital!!!!!

Westover Animal Hospital is the best! Always very friendly and attentive. And I’m so grateful to how they have been able to accommodate short notice visits when health issues arise - this is especially important since I have an older cat.

This was the first time I took my baby to be boarded. He was so calm and relaxed when I picked him up. That made me happy. He's usually frazzled and even shaking. I'll definitely be using them in the future.
