If you love your pets and they are part of your family, there is no place I would take them then here. I have two dogs both for the past nine years, and I love them. One picked up a bacterial infection resulting in a week of ICU, the other attacked the same week and almost killed. The doctors and staff are highly qualified and caring and communicated 7/24 day & night through 2 long weeks both in ICU. The extent of the trauma was off the charts, but this, the team was so caring and compassionate and did everything possible and saved both my best friends. It was touch and go, and I understand anything could have happened, but their expertise and highly skilled surgeons were amazing and utilized best practices in medicine. Everyone from the front desk to the doctors were great and love their patients. I can't thank them enough!!!!!

We can’t thank Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency enough for the care they provided to our beloved dogs, Murphy and Bailey, during a recent emergency. From the moment we arrived, the team demonstrated incredible professionalism and compassion. They acted with urgency and precision while maintaining a calm and reassuring presence, which helped ease our own anxiety during a very traumatic and tense few days.

The staff kept us well-informed throughout the process, ensuring we understood every step of the treatment plan. They also made it possible for us to visit our boys while they were receiving care, which meant the world to us. Their dedication and empathy turned a frightening situation into one we could bear, knowing Murphy and Bailey were in the best hands.

I can't speak highly enough of the care Ocean received at Dogwood. Ocean was transformed to Dogwood after she was hit by a car and had surgery. Upon our arrival the staff immediately showed their compassion and expertise. They were quick to assist me with getting her out of the car and onto a gurney, then took her straight back to begin treatment. The entire team was transparent about the costs and made sure I understood every step of her care. The vet technicians were incredibly kind and patient with both Ocean and I, making me feel comfortable leaving her in their hands.

Dr. Shih truly went above and beyond. He provided me with multiple updates throughout the day, answered all of my questions, and made sure Ocean received the best care possible. Despite his busy schedule, he always took the time to check in and discuss her progress and long-term care plan. While I hope we never have to visit again, I would absolutely return if needed. The level of care was exceptional, and thanks to them, Ocean is on the road to recovery!

I had a great experience with Dogwood a few months ago where I arrived with my pet with a very bad health condition, I have an English Bulldog 1 year old and it was very hard to accept what she was going through (pneumonia). I spend so much money in VCA without knowing that I should just go to Dogwood first! However the customer service and treat of my pet was exceptional, the follow-up and treatment was excellent and accurate. The peace of mind they provided us as those responsible for my pet showed a lot of solidarity, compassion and support. They sent me messages at night with pictures and updates of the status and progress. I was able to visit during the days and I felt very happy to be able to see her progress... having a picture and message saying Love was ok is priceless.
5 month later my dog is doing great (I wanted to make sure before doing this review and take time to write something you can TRUST).
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr AGDA TAMASSIA in this place. We loved her! She was the best and found all what we need to know that nowadays my dog is doing GREAT.

Horrible, heartbreaking experience. When discussing a treatment plan, I was asked if we wanted “gold standard or bare bones”. We requested the gold standard. Our cat spent one night at Dogwood to receive treatment. Before leaving him there to spend the night receiving treatment, we brought him his bed and food. We spent time with him, taking photos and videos of him. He was alert, purring and walking around just before we left. Then we got an early morning call asking us to come to discuss “quality of life”. I was in complete shock. What could have possibly happened in those few hours for him to go from being active, purring and walking around the night before, to the horrendous state he was in when they brought him to us laying on a blanket barely alive. The medical report indicated that he was “Bright, alert, and responsive” just a few hours earlier but after spending just one night there and $3,256 later, our poor cat was unrecognizable. The pictures we took before and after are startling. Very little explanation was offered. The medical records didn’t help to clarify my concerns. Called to speak with the vet and was told by Lauren that my concerns would be shared with their medical director and that someone would get back to me. It’s been over three weeks, and I have yet to hear from anyone. Instead of getting a call back to address my concerns, I got a call from Dogwood asking for even more money, claiming I had an outstanding balance of around $180. I still have the message saved in my voicemail. On top of deeply painful feelings of grief, I feel immense guilt at ever having taken him to Dogwood. I honestly believe he would still be alive today had he not spent what, in my opinion, had to have been the most agonizing night of his life. The photos speak for themselves. I am still trying to understand how this could have happened and why no one is willing to return my calls to help explain it.

About 1 month my King ate rat poison and was in critical condition! I brought him in and they saved his life! I’m so grateful for them and will always recommend Dogwood to anyone.
