Echoing what others have said in recent reviews - this place doesn't care about your pets, they are just interested in taking your money.

I called this morning to inform them of my pet's passing and that we wouldn't need our follow-up appointment, and the response I received was, "thanks for letting us know, we'll take her off our records." No condolences, no "I'm sorry for your loss", nothing. Just cold-hearted people only interested in your money.

Take your pet somewhere else, please, there are plenty of vets out there with staff that actually care.

I had to take my dog to the emergency vet in Fayetteville, and sadly wound up putting her down. It was a night I’ll never forget. I know they notified her Vet at Family Friend. Even though we hadn’t been clients of theirs for very long, it really hurt because we never received so much as a phone call or sympathy card from family friend. I think that really sucks. I’ll be looking for a new vet for my cats.

We lost our baby Chowder last fall due to lymphoma . He was 11 years old and he was family . Dr. Matt Davis and staff were there every step of the way during his illness and up to the end ! Very compassionate and took time with my wife and I during this rough time ! Really great people ! Our new baby is a patient of Dr. Davis also.

Called to have our dogs boarded 1 week before vacation. On day of boarding we were told it’s kennel cough season and to be aware the dogs could get it. They knew it was at their facility and yet didn’t come out and say that. They also waited until day of to tell us instead of on the phone. At this point we had no options. We come back from vacation and one dog has a terrible cough. We now have to pay them for antibiotics. So recap: we pay for kennel cough vaccine, we pay for them to get our dog sick, then we pay for the medicine to make her better. Very scammy. They lost 2 patients over 12$ antibiotics and lack of integrity.

The staff is beyond nice and helpful. They seem to truly care about your pet. Dr. Barns has been very helpful with or little dogs health. I would highly recommend giving Family Friend a try.

Our dog Max was struggling to hang on and we knew it was time for him to pass. The office staff and Dr Matt were about to close on a Saturday and stayed in to let us let Max go compassionately. I will not forget the kindness of everyone that stayed longer that day they truly are very kind ethical people and I recommend this place to any animal owners!

Took my dog in for uti and rabies shot. I also decided to do heart worm check. Was told there were blood flakes in her urine. I was told I could bring her back anytime for a shot of antibiotic or a prescription no charge. I was told the next day heart worm was negative but she did have a uti. I took her back and they charged me for the shot. I told them what was said but the doctor wasn’t there. $60 for an antibiotic!! They acted like they weren’t going to give me my dog until I paid. I told them I will not be back. They are very expensive!

Dr. Davis saved my cat late on a Sunday night. After calling him, it took all of 5 minutes to get my cat in & get to surgery. By far the best vet I have ever encountered. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I get Rx food there at a good price. They are very thorough and want the best for you and your pets. I adopted a second kitten from NCHS 2 months ago and Dr. Davis had already seen him twice to neuter & treat for respiratory issues. The new kitten continued treatment at Family Friend, and is very healthy & happy. I just got a call from them this morning with test results from last night as a matter of fact. I'm sure there are other great vets, but Family Friend is the best I've met.
