This clinic is worth more than 5 stars. The staff are kind, understanding, patient, and empathetic. They treat every person and their patients with respect and love — it shows. The clinic itself is warm and inviting even without the energy of the staff who certainly create a vibe that makes everyone feel comfortable and taken care of.
When we experience emergencies with our furbabies, having people to trust with their care is HUGE. I’ve never once second-guessed the expertise of the incredible people who treated Romeo (my best friend) as though he was their own dog. Even though he’s a little cranky and definitely reactive, they showed him the same love that they showed the adorable patients who were much more… friendly. Lol! Romeo’s behavior can be a huge red flag for a lot of people, and I’ve been questioned before about whether or not I’m trying to help him make progress — they never once judged me and instead celebrated me for rescuing him. It meant the world to me. Maybe Romeo will stop by for a visit when he can behave like the nice young man I know he is capable of being… lol!

Thank you for saving Romeo. He might be a handful, but he’s my handful and life without him wouldn’t be the same. ? Romeo continues to show me that everyone, even those of us with some serious issues (myself included), are deserving of love. He is a staple for me when it comes to my job — the kids who struggle with completing their work will magically finish their worksheets when they show up on Monday to find a photo of Romeo sitting at their desk with a sign that says, ‘Math is ruff but you can do it!’ So aside from the gratitude I feel as his mama, you have kept smiles on the faces of the kids I get the pleasure of working with. ? Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

**PS: Romeo’s name is funny because he isn’t really a lover-boy… unless it’s me. But when I finally caught him, I noticed he had a heart-shaped spot on his hip. (Last pic!)

I recently had to say goodbye to my sweet lab Rosie and it was by far, the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I can’t say enough about the compassion and care that the doctors and staff showed us on her last day. I will cherish the memory of her eating chocolate for the first time, just before the procedure, and how much she loved it. Thank you to everyone at this clinic for your kindness and compassion, it meant a lot to us.

This place is truly compassion and cares. I had to put my 10 year old baby girl Bambi (Chihuahua) down last Sunday May 19th, 2024 and it was devastating and one of my most heartbreaking decisions I ever had to make ?. Thank God for you guys. The front desk girls and vet doctor really guided me through the process. Thank you for that one girl at the front desk who gave me a hug that day I really needed that. I was able to spend as much time with my Bambi and say my last goodbyes. All I wanted was for my Bambi to rest peacefully and not struggle. Thanks again for all staff people for being there in one of my hardest day! I really appreciate you all.

0 stars! Beware of this place!!!! They don’t care about animals! They only care about the money. They wanted to charge us 7000 dollars for a simple surgery. They made us feel horrible cause we couldn’t afford it. This place was filthy. We ended taking our dog out of this place and went somewhere else and was charge 1500 dollars for her surgery. Then they called animal welfare on us. This place is a joke. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE. Go to East Mountain Veterinary Services!

We had a very frustrating experience when we brought in our puppy who could not walk due to a leg injury. We understood that it was the only emergency vet open in the state of New Mexico and we were willing to patiently wait for our turn, however we never imagined we would be waiting for over 7 hours before our dog was seen. The staff were not very friendly with our puppy as when they took him back for his exam and vitals, we could hear our dog yelping the entire time. When they brought him out to us, he was very scared and upset. We did not get a clear answer as to what was wrong with him, and they just suggested keeping him crated for 10 days to heal his injury. We then had to wait an additional 45 minutes to get discharge instructions before we could leave. The staff seemed very irritated and acted as if we were rushing out of there after the exam. However, as I said, we had been there over 7 hours at that point and continued to wait another 45 mins for discharge paperwork. I understand that this vet is for emergencies and that less critical patients will continue to be bumped, and we were fine with waiting. However, we did not appreciate the way the staff handled our puppy or treated us during our time there. I would only go to this vet if your dog is truly having a critical emergency. Otherwise, you will get better treatment going to your regular vet.

Staff was awesome since the first initial call. They were fast, efficient and clear about what their plans were and treatment plans. I drove an hour to get here to have my kitten treated for a head injury. Friendly and calm environment. Facility is clean and organized. Very pleased with the services here

Early Monday morning I woke up to the sound of my 12 year old husky pooping liquid only to soon discover it was pure blood. I called two emergency vets who had closed their floors for the night, only roadrunner was open. I rushed my girl over there and the way they treated both of us through the process was amazing, kind, compassionate, and attentive. The front desk staff helped keep me calm and made me feel comfortable, checking in and making sure I knew snacks, water, and tea were available. Crucial in the early morning after crying for hours! Dr Chamney helped stabilize her, kept me updated, and answered all my questions. They let me say goodbye to her in the back while I left her there to be monitored overnight. I received many updates and no one was ever annoyed when I called every few hours. They then let me come in later that evening to try and get her to eat, and we spent an hour and a half relaxing in one of the rooms. She ate more for them during the night and came home the next morning with some meds! From beginning to end, everyone I interacted with was amazing and the facility was spotless. I would highly recommend and will go back if ever in need again!
