My puppy became very lethargic while at the beach, we knew something was wrong and we called and took her directly to CMAC. They took her back pretty quick for an assessment and a few minutes later the doctor came out and told what she suspected. As worried as I was, I was also calmed by her confidence. My pup stayed a few hours for observation, tests and treatment. We brought her home later and she is just fine 2 days later. She ate something toxic at the beach.

This vet clinic has saved my dogs life twice! Two years ago he ate sand, which ended up creating a blockage and made him extremely ill. He was hospitalized for a day in hopes that it would pass on its own without surgery and thankfully, it did. I’m a narcotic pet owner, I love my dogs like they are my children. I would call multiple times a night and would always get a friendly voice on the other line. This recent visit was a hospitalization for two nights, my dog has stage four kidney disease. He was almost gone and they were able to make him comfortable enough to come home. He’s doing so much better now. I’m forever grateful they gave me more time with my boy. My other dog unfortunately had to be put down and we made the hard decision after normal business hours. The vet was so kind, gentle, and caring. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. In the future, I will only take my pets to this clinic. I feel they are the most caring and diligent vets on island. Thanks again for saving my best friend.

We had to take our dog to the Emergency clinic at 7 am and was promptly seen. Dr Joann Dombeck was excellent and very informative of what was wrong with our dog and laided out a careful detailed plan of what their and our expectations were. We were very happy with her care there. As to be expected of course they did go over the financial aspect of his care in detail but it was hard to hear that then at that time.
The only aspect I would improve on would be the front desk staff during regular business hours were not the friendliest and did not smile much.
Otherwise I would still bring my dog to this clinic for superior medical care.

I will never take any animal to this place ever again. Day time people were nice enough. Night doctor wouldn't do anything to help my cat. He recommend putting the cat to sleep. When the day staff helped my cat pass a stone and said he should be good but was going to keep him over night. Said I could not take him home with me. Night doctor called and said he was gonna die. End result my cat died before I could get to the clinic at 3 am .two other cats I took there died in the back room that they wouldn't let me go in with my cat. Doctor comes out to talk to me and another lady comes our and tells the doctor to come back in the room. Then he comes back out and tells me the cat didn't make it. They used a wrong drug on my cat and killed it. I don't recommend this place to anyone ever.

I absolutely love Central Maui Animal Clinic, it's open 24 hour a day 7 days a week. Would highly recommend this place. Staff is always so kind and gives great customer service, along with good animal care every time. Keep up the amazingly wonderful service. Much Mahalo!!

Less than 1⭐️TERRIBLE! Brought my little dog in Thurs am. I knew I would be charged emergency appt
Examine & treatment $975.00!
Than said he needed overnight hospitalization, possibly 48hrs.
Estimated cost was $3600.00
I had to pay $1800. They were manipulative about necessary treatment when they already knew from tests he wouldn’t recover.
Fri 7 am call…. He died. No compassion or kindness. The itemized bill totaled exactly $1800. Plus extra $291. for cremation.
When I called to ask to pick him up so I could take him for cremation they said they had a ‘surplus of dogs’, he was ‘ready for pick up’ and cremation services were on the way. Horrid choice of words & explanation! There are more terrible details when he was in their ‘lack of care!’ I cannot say enough disgust, mistreatment, manipulation & callousness about CMV!!!

Our corgi was having difficulty breathing. We took him at 1am. Although they were not able to do a scope in his nose, they gave him prednisone which cleared his nose for a few days. Staff was nice and caring.

Sadly, this was the WORST experience ever. After 4 years of loyalty to the West/Central Maui Animal clinics, these last 2 visits were full priced but below adequate and professional. After a bill of over $500, the vet missed an infection in my dog’s ears saying they looked fine. When the groomers found it the next day, the vet refused to call me back for 2 days and said “what does the groomer know, they’re not a licensed professional”. That’s the point!!! Why didn’t the licensed professional catch it? They said they would re-check her but it would cost ANOTHER office visit. I’m sorry, what? You were inadequate the first visit so you want me to drive over and PAY again for you to complete it? Where’s the professionalism here
