So I wanted to make a quick comment. I took my dog rascal to the vet. They were perfect. They were very kind everybody there was very nice to us. They allowed me to be in the examining room while they were examining rascal and all the time the doctor kept reassuring me that everything was gonna be all right, but he was fine and like magic the very next day he was so a big thanks to everybody at the Mac animal Hospital. You’re the best.

This veterinary hospital is associated with the McPaws Regional Animal Shelter. They are such beautiful caring people. I brought in a stray, sick kitten, and they gladly took him in to treat and get him adopted. My daughter had taken a stray kitten in the week before with the same loving reception. Actually, the first kitten was adopted after one week!

PLEASE NUETER YOUR ANIMALS! They sponsor a neutering clinic for the area; please be humane. If you need to let go of a pet, at least take it to the Animal Shelter/Humane Society instead of dumping it off to fend for itself!?

My 1 year old Beagle just wants to make friends. Unfortunately the Porcupine was looking for friends. Without an appointment they took Lenny in to remove the quills. I could not say enough about the staff at the Donnelly office. Great people. I hope not to go back but I sure will if Lenny wants to make anymore friends.

I do not recommend McPaws for anything further than run of the mill vaccines. I took my dog in with a lump in his neck. It was diagnosed as an abscess with the only treatment given as surgery or antibiotics, I went the antibiotic route and would explore options from there. When a week later it quadrupled in size in a 2 day timeframe I called back to request to talk to the doctor regarding surgery and was told they would call me back by end of day, they never called. I ended up taking my dog to the emergency vet in Boise the day after my call into McPaws. I was told it was in fact not an abscess but more likely a tumor. By that time it was too far advanced and I had to put my dog down due to his pain that had started since the day before . Please don't go here, I think the vet techs and receptionist are kind but the actual medical care leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not blaming them for my dog dying, My issue lies in the lack of response when I called requesting to speak to someone regarding surgery options.
I'll also add this, my call in requesting them call me to discuss options was almost 4 weeks ago, and still I have not heard from them.

Took my son’s dog (dog sitting for son who lives in Middleton) there for growth or bite on belly. They wanted to charge for visit $80 , $127 for labs and $15antibiotics without knowing what it is. Just had them do exam only! (Had to initial I declined the others).
Vet called and said it was a ruptured tumor that was fast growing. Narrow attachment but needed surgery ASAP.
I took dog to my son and he went to animal hospital there where Dr took a slide of it, looked under microscope and said it was a reputed cyst that will resolve on its own. No surgery necessary!
This confirmed the rumors I heard to not use McPaws and others saying they do unnecessary surgeries and procedures. Not all vets are the same!

I appreciate the courtesy and promptness that my pet/friend and I received. Everyone there is nice, helpful and efficient. My dog needed staples ASAP and he received them. I was able to use my debit card as well. I was charged accordingly and prices are fair. My pet received what he needed not what could be added. Great service!!!

The McPaws veterinary office in Donnelly went above and beyond to help our Golden who was in serious condition. The staff and Doctor were effective and compassionate to help our emergency case, fitting her into their already full schedule. She is all fixed and and doing well now! Thank you so much!
