We have been using Twin Falls Veterinary Clinic for the last 4 years!! They have been absolutely A M A Z I N G!! I have been impressed with them from the start. Recently, our Pup had puppies!! The staff and Doc were so wonderful about pregnancy planning, answering questions, and accommodating us through the whole process... even called us back on a SUNDAY!! Their pricing is affordable, which we certainly appreciate when our Pup delivered 9 puppies.

I love their drop-off appointment options, especially for our cats who need a little time to calm down and transition after a car ride. When we come back for pick-up, our cats are calm and relaxed, making them MUCH happier and far less difficult to handle when we prepare them for their next visit and approach them with the car carrier.

It doesn't matter who you speak with at the office you're going to hear a cheerful, compassionate, or understanding voice responding to you. When we came back to Twin Falls, after our Military careers were complete, I didn't think we would be able to find the level of care for our fur-babies that we had before. Boy was I wrong!! Twin Falls Veterinary Clinic has far exceeded our expectations and is hands down the best clinic I've ever come across.

They took the best care of our sweet pup. They were always so friendly, professional and caring towards my family with young kids and our dog. The vet, Dr. Szanto, vet techs and staff always took the time to answer all my questions and was so good to our dog. Would definitely recommend taking your pet here over any other vet in the area.

Me and my wife have been going to the Twin Falls veterinary clinic for many years since we had our current dogs and cats. They have been good to us in the past for many years, but over the years has of late, the service and communication has gone dramatically down the hill and the prices have gone through the roof, we understand the economy, and how inflation has taken everybody by storm, but it seems like their prices are price gouging and the communication and services has been subpar! We had constantly bad feedback, when we have a concern about something about our cats or dogs,it seem like they would just brush us off and look at us with a straight face and basically saying we don’t know what we’re talking about! I understand they are professionals and they have the education but when someone is constantly telling you that you’re wrong and failing to explain why it’s really uncalled for! A lot of the concerns we had with our animals about the shots and the physical check ups and appointments, and even the pay has all went down downhill! I questioned their professionalism and their clinic now for many years, communication was very subpar, it’s like if we were trying to set an appointment or tell them about what’s going on, we always got the cold shoulders and basically they told us that how did we find our information? “ Dr. Google.” I think it’s very condescending if you’re the owner you’re very concerned and that’s looking for information on your Internet for them to even say that let alone to give us the cold shoulder! Now for prices, the prices have gone crazy expensive and like I said before we understand the economy, but it seems very unfair and unfortunate for them to up their prices on everything, even for a small visit or a small check up for a cat! We have gone to other places for other immunization and vaccines for a quarter of the price, they even question the legitimacy of our doing for our pets health! The doctor there is very condescending and very rude when they ask us question and we give them the feedback but then again that’s when we’re stonewall because he looks at us and basically belittle us and saying that we don’t know what we’re talking about! For anyone that goes to this place, be aware of what I’m talking about, this is very real and I advised that you get a second opinion somewhere else but just remember even for that visit you’re gonna pay a lot of money,I advised to look around at other veterinary clinics in the Magic Valley, and in other cities. Best regard.

TLDR: If I was talking to a friend, I would tell them to stay clear of this vet, they WAY overcharge!!!! If you have no other options, then they do care about the animals and are kind, but I don’t guarantee they will solve your concerns.

Adding a picture of my puppy so this doesn’t get lost.

Starting with the pros: They are very informative and truly care about your animal. They can usually get you in promptly and my dog enjoyed the vibe of the office and the people who worked there. They also have relatively good availability. They will go above and beyond to communicate with you and usually will give advice over the phone as well.

Cons: you will pay 3-4X the amount for a vet visit. Our first experience with this vet was to get our dogs nail fixed. They charged us over $800 for it due to having to sedate her. A year later we have moved to a new city and needed a new vet. Our dog needed her nail fixed again under sedation and it cost us $250.

We also took her in to help with her limp in her right leg. They performed surgery to remove a chipped piece of bone. It cost us over $2k and didn’t even solve her limping. We took her to our new vet and they prescribed arthritis meds ($70 a month) and her limp is now completely gone. Why weren’t more conservative methods (like a medication) tried before serious surgery was performed?

We also asked for anxiety medication due to her severe separation anxiety. We were told that anxiety meds weren’t helpful for dogs and would only make her worse. Our next vet urged us to put her on some due to the inflammation the stress was causing in her body.

Since we moved we needed her vet records transferred and they wouldn’t send them to our new vet unless we signed a release form and then they had to fax them over because they don’t have electronic records? They also had to mail on a CD a copy of her X-rays. It seemed like a lot of hoops to jump through just to get her records sent over.

I want to truly believe the best in people, so I do think they have good intentions, but I had no choice but to write this. Please consider other options before bringing your pets here.

My family has taken so many pets to Twin Falls Vet over the last 30 YEARS, both our personal pets and strays we tried to save and take care of. We've never really had issues when we were constantly bringing them in for diagnostics, shots, etc... But to say I'm disappointed in the way they treated us when it came to the end of life for one of our pets, is putting it very lightly. Our senior dog had been going in a lot recently for kidney issues, so they absolutely knew the state he was in. When we called at 9am to schedule a euthanasia for same day, the front office tech told us their schedule was full and to "drop him off and they will squeeze him in today". The last moments of a pet's life after 15+ years with them, and people are getting told to drop them off to be kept in a cage all day?! And to top it off, when we picked up all our records the next day, the tech held them while trying to explain the reasons they couldn't get us in is because it's a couple hour process and a bunch of other mumbo jumbo excuses. Really? Because besides the 15 minutes we spent saying goodbye alone in the exam room, the process took another vet a total of 5 minutes! I'm absolutely appalled at how uncompassionate this vet and his staff are. I previously worked at a vet clinic, so I completely understand vet clinics are understaffed and overworked and they can only do so much in a day. But you'd think for an emergency euthanasia they would be more understanding and compassionate, especially for a long-term client. We are SO VERY thankful the staff and vet at SAWTOOTH VET in Jerome were compassionate enough to squeeze in a non-client for an appointment within hours of calling. Sawtooth has gained a client for life simply because we trust they will be there for us in times of emergencies! Maybe Twin Falls Vet should rethink their policies when it comes to emergency euthanasias, or I'm sure they will lose many many more clients.
Edit: I guess I shouldn't say their entire staff is uncompassionate... Annie has always been great to work with. Unfortunately, the day this happened she was out of the office. We appreciate all the loving care Annie provided our pets over the many years.

After several years of visits, vaccines, one surgery, two dogs and stays in their kennel I feel qualified to say this is a good pet hospital. The doctor really likes what he does and cares about my dogs. His staff is excellent.
I switched vets about 3 years ago because of a bad receptionist at a different hospital.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Szanto for the last 30 years and will never go anywhere else. The quality of care is amazing!
