we adopted Hank from this shelter quite a few months ago & we just wanted to share how thankful we are for the ladies that helped us out with this adoption!! Hank & our heeler have become the best of friends & we couldn’t imagine life without him! they were so helpful from the beginning & even came after hours so we could pick him up:) you people are doing amazing work, Hank is getting love & seeing sights he would’ve never seen if it weren’t for y’all ❤️

We went to the Jerome shelter to meet a sweet little pitty whom we found on the Friends Furever website. They're very thorough on matching people with animals. Unfortunately, the pitbull and our puppy did not get along, so we could not leave the shelter with the pitbull. When we went back inside, Brittney mentioned that she had another dog that might be a good fit for our family. She brought out Chester the Husky and thanks to her knowledge and experience around dog behaviour she managed to get our puppy past her fear aggression and playing with Chester. Our puppy is now absolutely smitten with him and it's been so wonderful having him in our home. He's such a sweet boy and so patient with our roudy little girl. Brittney really worked magic on our family. She also held our hand through some tough adjustments and worked with us to make the adoption and neutering process as easy as possible since we live 2 hours from the shelter.

I'd also like to not that the shelter was clean and the animals all looked happy and healthy. Chester even lit up when he heard Britteny's voice over the phone.

Bravo to the people who work and care for these dogs. I couldn’t do it. I’d take them all home. I’m sure one would get used to the smell and all the barking…eventually. I wish more people were responsible pet owners.

My nephews dog got out and got picked up but they won't let my nephew have him back. They said he can't prove the dog is his so he will have to wait and pay to adopt him.

We adopted this young guy from the Jerome Shelter. He travels on the road with us full-time and has already been to Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest. He was a great match for us both in temperament and size.

The adoption process was seamless. I explained what type of pet I was looking for and met with Max. We filled out the paperwork, paid a small fee, and took him home that day. Spay/neutering, rabies and one vaccine was included as well.

Call ahead and get better directions as Google maps will give you the wrong directions when you enter the shelters ' address.

I called after 2pm and was given directions to enter on a different street (I forget the street name) and follow the signs. The shelter is at the far end of the property, so just keep following the signs. Trust me, it's worth it.

He is healthy, happy and is living his best dog life.

2 German shepherds killed my goat and I did the right thing with help from neighbors the dogs were taken to the shelter in Jerome. I asked that they do not release the dogs with being evaluated. Not only did they not inform the owners that they killed an animal, they didn't do an evaluation, They did NOTHING. What is the point of animal control if they do not take dangerous animals off the street? 2 weeks ago I was contacted by a woman who's chickens were killed by the same dogs and nothing still hasn't been done. The animals laws when it comes to livestock is a joke. I think we need to push harder that animals are let run loose and either harass or kill livestock need to be punished this county and this town when it comes to protecting livestock to this is a total joke.

The lady was on the computer playing video games and the guy was busy talking to someone else about a dog, then a couple brought in toys and 30 minutes later my son was getting pretty annoyed about how they were treating us. I finally had enough and told her look we had a an appointment to look at a dog. And we really need to see him. He was our neighbors old dog, but all we wanted to do is make sure that he was safe and in a good place for him. Where they took him from wasn't kind to him. My son and I used to sneak him treats because we got so upset about how he was treated. I hope that cinnamon will have a better chance for a good life now.

Very friendly. Great staff. Very inexpensive compared to other animal shelters. The process was easy to complete. Fill out an online app. Arrange to look at the animal your interested. They attend to the animals medical needs before your chosen pet goes home with you. Pay the fees and you are on your way. It’s a great experience.
