Pet Wellness Center and Urgent Care is the best in the world. The people there really care about your family pets. I got a stray cat from the humane clinic in Herrin. When I brought my cat to Pet Wellness Center I didn't know that they had already seen her by humane clinic. Pet Wellness Center could not believe in the difference a year made. I Queen Kit is the only thing keeping me going. I'm disabled and I have a lot of medical problems. The staff at pet Wellness Center are a very caring and kind. I highly recommend them.

My dog had a very worrisome problem when his regular veterinarian was closed. Pet wellness was able to work me in right away. They were very thorough with my dog. The staff was very courteous and concerned about my dog. They diagnosed him and gave him the medication that he needed. The next day my dog was feeling so much better. I was so relieved and thankful for their support and service. I didn’t have to worry all weekend about my dogs health. Great place for your pets needs. Thank you so much ❤️

My dog was not in respiratory distress just breathing like he had a cold. I took him in 13 year-old goldendoodle. They never told me anything about him having a pneumothorax while they were doing a thoracentesis on him to draw air out around his heart nothing was ever said about it could kill my dog. Then Doctor said you are welcome to leave him here we would like to observe him, but there’s nobody that will be here tonight or you can come and pick him up. Of course I went to pick up I thought was just maybe still lethargic from the anesthesia. Nothing was said except let’s leave his IV in in case we need it in the morning so I’m thinking steroids maybe something IV fluids whatever. When I picked him up, nothing was ever said about a pneumothorax and nothing was ever said that he was dying. They sent him home with gabapentin if I would’ve left my dog there like they offered , He would have died a horrible, tragic death that that sweet baby did never deserve and if I left him there, like she offered, they wouldn’t even know how bad he suffered. They would’ve called me that morning to tell me he was dead. I will go to my grave to let everybody know, and I have the medical records and Dr. Kozak never said to me, let’s leave the IV in in case we have to euthanize him like she put in the medical records because I would’ve lost my mind. All my friends were here all my friends knew what happened. In the medical records, it talks about cancer, I was never told anything about cancer and if you thought a dog might have cancer and couldn’t survive a Thoracentesis wouldn’t you check labs first or ultra sound. The way the medical records read And her offering for me to leave my dog there without observation and no comfort meds, is malpractice. I was a hospice nurse the last 15 years of my career and that’s like leaving a hospice patient with no comfort meds that you know is dying. I hope you see him in your dreams every night suffering Because if it wasn’t for me, he would’ve suffered. I’m the one that made him comfortable. I had to and I’m sure they all got a good nights rest that night. Nothing was sad until the next day about euthanizing him. So when they say you can leave your dog there for observation, but there’s nobody there just know that your dog has nobody to help him. And when I put on Facebook that pet wellness killed my dog, people put underneath their they killed my dog too. They killed my dog too? Huh? Well they picked the right one this time. I can assure you, it will be on every social platform that I have every single day and signs around town. I will save any other animal from having to suffer like that and save anyone the grief that I’m going through right now. And to think that I let Dr. Kozak keep the 250 dollars to come to my home which they said is very uncommon to come to the home? But she would leave dex there to suffer. Wow. Sorry Charlie, this ain’t going to be swept under the rug. Oh and the second to last pic was the night before they killed him as u can see in the last picture. They put in the medical records that he was underweight. What do you think?

Amazing vet techs and vet doctors. I don't think my doggy would have made it without them. My girl had a 2 night stay in the urgent care. They called with updates and shared a ton of knowledge at the same time. During discharge the tech was extremely helpful and went over the medication regimen and what to expect. To the staff -Thank you so much for all that you do!

I feel very comfortable entrusting the care of my furbaby with this practice. Yes, we did spend a significant amount of time there, but well worth it. I felt like they care about my cat like I do.

Our dog Bella is a 9 year old lab/shepherd mix. At the end of January 2023, she started behaving in a manner that suggested she was not feeling well and was in a lot of pain (walking slower, limping, panting more, breathing faster, tired, and whining), totally different from her usual rambunctious self! We tried to get her into our regular vet, but were unable to get her in immediately so we called Pet Wellness Center and they got her in that same day. She saw Dr. Kozak, (awesome veterinarian) who examined her, ran lab tests, and did xrays, so we could find out what was wrong with our precious girl (we got all labs and tests results back within an hour). Lab work only showed a very high elevation in one of her liver enzymes (she takes phenobarbital for seizures and it can cause this type of elevation). The xrays showed severe osteoarthritis in her back and her right leg/knee area. She was placed on medications to help this and Dr. Kozak recommended laser therapy treatments twice a week for three weeks, stating they have had a lot of success with them. She had her first treatment that same day and what a difference it made, when we got home she went outside with her sister and 2 brothers and was running around a little bit more, we were amazed! Since then we have continued the laser therapy treatments once per week, (after the initial six treatments), do red light therapy on her at home a few times a week, and her medications. Since first taking her to Pet Wellness Center in January until now (the end of March) the results have been night and day, she runs around outside with her brothers and sister, has more energy, and overall she’s happier!!! She acts like her younger self again! We are so grateful for Pet Wellness Center getting her in quickly and taking care of her and giving our Bella a new lease on life!!! The veterinarian and staff are all kind people, gentle with the our babies, and you can tell they all have a true love for the animals they take care of!!! We love you Pet Wellness Center and will continue to recommend you to anyone we know with fur babies!!!

Had heard good things about about this place its nice and pretty and the main reason i chose this place was the after hours emergency services just in case. So after two years, the first time I tried to use the emergency services even after agreeing to pay the extra $300 I was told if I couldn’t get there within an hour I live an hour away btw that they may have to farm me out to somewhere else. What the heck i ended up going to a local vet who didnt overcharge me and will be seeking a vet that “really” offers emergency services. If all you need is shots or prescriptions i suggest somewhere with a less exorbitant overhead.

Horrible experience for the second time.
First time they killed our ferret.
Told us he was all better, and ready to be picked up.
Arrived shortly after, and they brought him out dead.
And then refused to give us his dead body until we paid them nearly $3,000.

And secondly, our dog recently wasn't able to urinate.
We told our local vet that we did not want to go there again,
But he assured us that "dr.ronson" was good.
Well, that was not true.

First off, she diagnosed our dog with cancer, said we could get a second opinion, but she had seen it enough to know that's what it is.
So she put our dog on chemotherapy.

We ended up sending the labs off, and guess what.
Not cancer.

She gave our already sick dog multiple rounds of chemo for no reason.

And also put him on medication that increases urination, without replacing his cathedar.

She told me that if we needed one that she would be there all weekend.
Well, he definitely needed one, because duh, he can't pee.
Went back the next morning, because he was in pain from this, and she was NOT there.
And we had to pay weekend emergency rates for something she should've done the day before.

And today, we lost our dog, who was like family to us.

After spending thousands of dollars again.

This place is horrible.

If they were real doctors, and did this to a person, they would be sued, and probably lose their license.

I should've stuck to my initial thoughts on this place, and taken him to U of I, Nashville, or anywhere else, but we went with the advice of our vet.

If we had, there's a good change he would still be here.

If you value your pet,
Take them anywhere else. Please.
