Very lucky to have this level of care 24/7 365 days. It gives animals a fighting chance at odd times/holiday weekends. Our beloved cat fell very sick at 3am. They did everything possible to help her with an enlarged spleen. At the end our best little friend went into cardiac arrest and couldn’t be save. We were grateful to give her a fighting chance to live. You are in great caring hands when an emergency comes up. Thank you for trying so hard.

I couldn’t recommend Mason Dixon Animal Emergency Hospital and their amazing staff enough! We had a scare this week when our 85-pound shepherd/lab mix suddenly couldn’t hold himself up and was clearly and audibly in pain. We rushed him in, not knowing what to expect and Dr. Loguidice, along with the entire team, was so thorough, kind and supportive to two very stressed-out pup parents.

Thankfully, it wasn’t a life-threatening emergency, but we did discover that our guy has severe hip dysplasia, degenerative disc disease, and arthritis—conditions we had no idea about despite his regular vet checkups. Their careful diagnosis and compassionate care gave us the clarity and direction we needed moving forward.

We’re forever grateful for Mason Dixon Animal Emergency Hospital and their exceptional doctors and staff. Thank you for everything you do!

Deserving of way more than 5 stars! From the front desk all the way back to the techs, docs, everyone! - AMAZING. I hope to not have to come back again but In an emergency situation, this is the only place I would go. The staff was compassionate & helpful. From the phone call before arriving all the way to check out - explaining thoroughly each step after discharge. Dr Bateman helped me finally get some answers for my sweet boy Rebel, explaining multiple times & answering all questions we had. Although the answers received were not what we wanted, I am so thankful for the care received. Highly recommend!!

I think this is the best experience with an animal hospital our family has ever had. My Guinea pig, Patches has a uterine prolapse. At the time we were on our way to mason dixon, which was 12-1 in the morning, we didn’t know but they did an examination, got vitals and all that, a vet came and told us the diagnosis. They shared everything with our normal Guinea pig vet so we can get Patches spayed. We decided to let them keep her overnight for pain meds and antibiotics. We got to say goodbye to her before we left her there and the vets were just so caring when they came to get her because there were many tears when we did say goodbye. This whole experience in general has been very stressful and at the same time educational but the hospital helped us understand so much more. Even got some critical care for her from them too if we would need it. If we ever have to, I will definitely bring Patches back or my other 2 piggies to this animal hospital. Even gave her a little cone so she wouldn’t chew or pull, and it’s so cute; has a little Mickey Mouse pattern on it?

Honestly the best animal hospital I've ever been too. They are so nice and even with being short staff they are still so polite and reassuring. They saved my cats life and I couldn't be more grateful! My cat Wasabi was super anemic and they got her stable and she is home and doing well now!

This animal ER is outstanding. Anytime I have taken my dogs in, the staff and doctors are amazing. The communication from everyone (especially the text hotline) is great. It is an emergency vet, so the times are longer, as expected. The staff is honest and upfront about cost and wait times. They give honest price ranges and only do what's necessary and medically best for the animals. They just saved my baby Tank, who ended up having a blockage and needed to be admitted. They really seem to care about the animals, as well as the worried owners. If you ever need life saving measures for fur-babies, they are who I would trust.

We went to Mason Dixon when our vet was full and our dog had been up all night, sick. The receptionist at our vet said we shouldn’t need to call ahead for an appointment, since it was a walk-in place. I did a quick Google to determine driving time and saw all the great reviews.

We drove 40 minutes and arrived to an empty waiting room and a receptionist who first asked if we had an appointment, and then informed us that we were looking at a 10-12 hour wait.

We left and went elsewhere. The one star is for the fact that the receptionist looked on her computer and gave us two other places to try. Otherwise, I’d give zero stars.
