I’m giving a 4 star because the nursing staff was great with my daughter in labor, however the receptionist was pretty rude to my other daughter and I who happened to be having a miscarriage at the same time my other daughter was in labor. We wanted to go to triage and she wanted to know why she needed triage and who told us to go there! It’s not her business for any of that, the nurse said my daughter needed to. The receptionist acted like we were lying, her tone with us was just outright rude! Not friendly at all!

Just wanted to try and help ease the nerves of a fellow woman who might be sifting through the reviews- trying to come to a conclusion on the best place to deliver your baby- anxious about making the right choice!

I went to Women & Babies through May Grant for my first baby girl in October and it was the most AMAZING experience. I thought I would deliver early, and instead ended up being 2 weeks late and induced (home girl didn’t want to leave ?). But, they made it the most enjoyable experience possible and truly made me feel empowered and encouraged to get the job done. We were truly surprised by how much they valued our wishes and wanted us to have the birth experience that we wanted to have.

Child birth can be a scary thought- especially because of all the fear of the unknown. But, you are strong and capable and YOU CAN DO IT! The nurses and doctors here are experienced, warm, kind, attentive, and extremely caring. They know exactly what to do and inform you of what’s going on the entire time. We were blown away at the excellence of the staff! They made me feel totally at ease and took care of me, my baby, and my husband so well. I honestly felt loved & like I was in the safest place to deliver my baby girl- so thank you, Women & Babies, for this awesome & unforgettable experience! We’ll be back when we add more. ?

Also, if you deliver here, you HAVE to try the peanut butter pie… you’re welcome. ?

I’ve had multiple births here and could not imagine doing them anywhere else. The nurses, midwives, aids, doctors, dining staff, housekeepers, and everyone else all took very good care of my and my baby around the clock after delivery, and during delivery I received prompt and expert care. My epidurals were quick to arrive upon request and well executed; I did not have nasty side effects but great pain management. The whole experience was so smooth the first time that I was not fearful or dreading the next labor, praise God. The food is also very good at this hospital, and they have 24/7 food available in a fridge if you miss the kitchen cutoff for the night. The nursery was also a great resource to get some extra rest after delivery before we went home to settle into normal life. 10/10 stars, would recommend this hospital to anyone giving birth!

My wife and I had our baby boy here and I just want to express how thankful I am for the staff here at women’s & babies. The nurses, the doctors, everyone was so kind and respectful. They took such good care of us throughout the whole process. Huge shoutout to Eden & Chandler, our labor and delivery nurses. They were amazing. Our Anesthesiologist, don’t remember his name but he was amazing. The c-section doctor was amazing at what she does. Absolutely an amazing experience. Karen, in couplet care was the most caring and knowledgeable nurse. Although we had a very stressful and long labor process and the touch decision of having a c section I’m so happy that it all happened here. Thank you so much to all the staff here at women’s & babies. Highly recommended this place!!

Only reason i'm giving them a second star is because they actually did amazing when i gave birth here. i just called them to see about having my birth control removed since i had it placed there and they keep telling me to call an OB that i don't have and the person i talked to said she works for penn medicine but she doesn't which makes absolutely zero sense. two other places told me to call here and she left me on hold just to call the first place that told me to call women and babies. that was all after i was transferred twice because no one apparently could figure out why i was calling even though i clearly said i'd like to have my birth control removed.
