All of their staff have been very supportive during our journey with his cancer, as well as being respectful of all of my decisions that came along with that diagnosis. I received a lovely card signed by many of them after his passing. They care for their patients like they are their own pets. I have recommended SmartVet to both family & friends.

I honestly can't say enough good things about SmartVet and especially Dr. Taber, I just wish I'd gone here sooner!

Backstory: At my previous vets office, the one time I allowed someone who wasn't my established vet to see my 11.5yr old cat for an appointment, my cat was handled too roughly and scruffed to the point that it hurt her and angered me. She was traumatized to the point that even her normal vet couldn't handle her without her viciously fighting back and it ended up taking me almost 3yrs before I could even attempt to take her somewhere else. She ended up getting sick recently and I knew I had to take her somewhere so I asked a close friend and was recommended SmartVet.

I couldn't be happier that I took his suggestion because Dr. Taber and her staff were absolutely amazing with my little girl. They were incredibly gentle, patient, kind, caring, and very physically careful handling her, and they earned her trust a lot quicker than I expected. They were so gentle with her that they were able to get all of her blood work done without any problems whatsoever on the first attempt at her first appointment. She even purred the second time she got blood work done but I have a feeling the Churu treats they give her helped a lot too lol.

Knowing that she's no longer stressed over vet appointments has made both of our lives so much easier and now I can keep her health where it should be. Thankfully all my cat ended up needing was a diet change, but I'd been wanting to get her senior panels done to make sure there wasn't other stuff going on, so being able to get samples and blood work from her without any problems was a huge win. They even have pheromone plug-ins that help keep cats calm as well as getting rid of other smells from previous animals and I know for fact how well those work because I used them with my cat when I had to move last year.

Between a stress-free environment and how gentle and kind they are to animals I feel like I hit the jackpot. I honestly can't recommend them enough, especially if your fur baby has had any trauma from previous experiences. Dr. Taber and her staff are absolutely wonderful, your fur babies are in safe gentle hands here ?

Recently, Aaron, Dr. Tabor and her vet tech assistant helped us w USDA certificate submission for our travel. They are efficient & high tech. Aaron texted us back & forth to identify our exact documentation needs, Dr. Tabor went into the USDA system to fix the form errors and texted me about the USDA approval.
The most efficient & high-tech vet office I have worked with.

Dr Atkins and the team are so wonderful. They have very thoroughly and compassionately supported me and my adopted kitty with less common health issues. I love being able to text them if I need help or questions answered. Another vet at this office helped my last kitty to pass peacefully. So grateful for smart vet!

10 stars if it were possible!!! Long story short my pup had a laceration quite large and would need sutures to close, I didn't have the thousands I was quoted the night before at an animal hospital. I called our own vet in the morning and they stated that they didn't have the staff nor were they comfortable working with my dog due to previous interactions. My pup likes to growl and then they recommended SMART VET NORMAL. I called and explained the situation, got a quote over the phone and had him in surgery within 1.5 hours. Everyone in the office was kind and caring! Doctor Tabor explained what the surgery would initial and then had taken my pup to the back. When I returned to get my furry friend, I was informed that my bill was less than I was quoted. When does that ever happen. YOU SAVED MY PUP, SAVED ME THOUSANDS, AND GAINED A LIFE LONG PATIENT THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

My cat developed a strange cough and Smart Vet was kind enough to get me in that day. I went in and they were ready for me right away. After some testing and x-rays my cat Stormy was diagnosed with feline asthma and a partially collapsed lung nodule. I was very startled by the news as our old vet had never said anything about asthma and hearing your cat’s lung is partially collapsed is pretty scary. Dr. Adkins took the time to answer all my questions and walked me through the x-rays explaining how Stormy has most likely had asthma her whole life going by the lung scaring. I was devastated that no one had caught her asthma before this. Dr Adkins was able to prescribe some medications and an inhaler for Stormy and she is doing much better already. The staff has been wonderful checking in on Stormy and asking how she is doing. I’m so gratefully everyone took such good care of my baby. I’m excited to get my other cats looked at knowing they will be in good hands.

My beloved Mia crossed the rainbow bridge at this facility when I had to make the very heart wrenching decision to end her suffering. Over three years later, I am still grieving her.

I trusted this facility to provide care to her, and further trusted them when that moment came.

We adopted a new dog in Aug '21 and have continued to bring her here for care due to the trust which was developed.

Last week, we adopted a young pup and tried to make an appointment online. The number displayed on their website allowed texts to be sent to schedule services and such. Except this number went to a private individuals personal phone who has no association with the practice.

We contacted them to express our surprise and disappointment that our personal information was sent to an unauthorized third party. Hopefully the individual is honest and doesn't try to steal or identity.

When contacting the practice about this, we were met with a feeling of disregard for our concerns. In my opinion, that is a big breach of trust, especially when they shared no remorse.

The story continues on, but I'm going to leave it out in the interest of brevity

Unfortunately this breach of trust has resulted in the practice losing two patients.

We've been with SmartVet for a while, but they recently redesigned their website and had a personal phone number unaffiliated with the practice set up to text for appointments. I inadvertently sent our personal information to a very frustrated stranger who said they'd received at least 8 other messages containing personal information from other patients.

On top of this, they're now requiring a deposit for Saturday appointments because they've had a few no-shows. Cool story, but how about you punish the offenders with a no-show charge, not the loyal customers who have never missed any appointments and have likely paid thousands of dollars for your services over the years.

The practice manager Liz messaged me apologizing for the website issue, but then doubled down on the deposit requirement by telling me that she knows "change is hard." That level of arrogance and condescension is sadly becoming business as usual these days. We're not inclined to entertain that level of foolishness.

While we've never had any medical complaints, just like in human health care, these administrators only speak one language. Money. Plenty of other vets happy to have our business.

Liz- As I stated in the review, it was your carelessness with your website design and misdirection of our personal information IN ADDITION to the inconvenience AND the condescending tone. Don't try to worm your way around it. You screwed up and now you're trying to make yourself look better. Own your mistakes and correct them like any responsible manager.
