My sweet boy Bennett had a nasty ear infection. We LOVE Dr. Ashamalla but she had a well earned day off when we needed to follow up. So we saw Dr. Mendoza and he was great! He did a recheck on Ben's ears, gave me a run down on what to keep an eye out for going forward and got us on our way. Now we have another option when we need an appointment! Facility is always clean, staff is always professional and friendly, schedule runs on time. Couldn't ask for more!

Our kitty was seen for a minor issue in which Dr. MARTINEZ gave me some helpful information Providing me with printouts Then I asked if I can also get a nail trim I go to check out and the receptionist says OK you’re just here for the doctor visit and a complementary nail trim. Complementary!!! Wow. So nice. Very much appreciated. I prefer Hinsdale Animal over any other animal hospital in the area.

I had to put my beautiful, 14 yr. old cat to sleep because his systems were shutting down. It was extremely sad for me. I’m 74 yrs.old and he was like my child. The staff at Hinsdale were sensitive to my needs and so kind and respectful. I highly recommend them for compassionate care.

This place is amazing! My 11 month old great dane puppy ate a mystery object and part of his bed creating a blockage in his intestines and stomach. We called right when they opened and were able to bring him right in for surgery. They were ready to bring him back as soon as we walked in and the entire staff was helpful and friendly especially for such a stressful situation. They called us during the surgery to update and after. Our pup did great and we were able to bring him home that evening. The following day I had a bunch of questions as an anxious dog owner and contacted them multiple times and was able to get answers to all my questions quickly putting me at ease. I live in the city but it was a quick 30 minute drive and i am happy to do it for the incredible care i received. I cant say enough good things about this place and would highly recommend them to everyone!

I've been bringing both my cats here for the last several years and have seen a few different doctors. The doctors, staff, are all very professional, friendly, compassionate. I feel as though me and my cats get really good care here. I feel confident in their abilities and would recommend this practice to others.

I am deeply disappointed with the manner in which this veterinary situation was handled. Several months ago, my cat began exhibiting unusual behavior, such as difficulty breathing and lack of movement, which was quite alarming. We rushed him to the emergency center in Oakbrook where we discovered he was in heart failure. Understanding the strong bond my children have with him, I was determined to extend his life as much as possible. Emergency interventions, including IV treatment and 24-hour oxygen therapy, were administered, and we were able to take him home. However, it was made clear that he would require lifelong medication, with no certainty regarding his life expectancy. We were informed that he could live anywhere from two weeks to two years, depending on his response to the medication.

For follow-up care, I chose to take him to a clinic in Hinsdale, which was recommended for its quality. Unfortunately, my initial experience was disappointing due to the high costs. Despite anticipating expenses, I was unsure about the services I paid for during the first visit, which only involved taking his blood pressure before administering his medication.

I have refilled his prescription twice since the initial visit. Recently, I was informed that no further medication would be dispensed without an updated rabies vaccine. Given my cat’s critical condition, I questioned the necessity of the vaccine since he stays indoors and any transportation could cause significant stress, potentially endangering his life.

In discussions with the clinic, I expressed my willingness to bring him for the vaccine in two weeks, albeit reluctantly. Despite this, they continued to refuse medication until compliance was met. This demand is particularly distressing considering it follows the holiday season and the financial burden of both the medication and enclosed fees, with $50 for the shot and an additional $70 for a routine check-up. When inquiring about the specifics of the $70 fee during a phone call, the staff member seemed dismissive, unable to provide a detailed explanation.

I find it unreasonable and unethical that my cat's necessary medication is being withheld due to the rabies vaccine requirement, given his terminal condition.
