Everyone was very friendly and so helpful. They took great care of our little duck, and were so compassionate with us and her when we had to day goodbye to her.

A wonderful service for rehabilitating animals that have been hurt in the wild. The clinic is on the University of Illinois - Champaign/Urbana Campus home for 50,000 students. The staff is caring for many ailing animals but as an example I have photographed a Bald Eagle with only one wing and a hawk.

We called to report a bat that was hurt and stuck in the middle of the road. On my first call I was hung up on, on the second call the girl was nice but seemed confused as to why we were calling about a bat and had to confirm their policy on bats. After waiting on hold, she told me that they don’t do anything for bats and to have a great day. I assumed the “wildlife” in the clinics name meant all life in the wild but I understand that perhaps bats are seen more as pests in some understandings. I felt bad for the poor thing, it would have been hit by a car if we hadn’t found a way to move it without touching it. It would have been nice to have some guidance by the person on the phone I talked to, like what we could do for the animal or perhaps a suggestion of who we could call about bats. Overall, the tone of the phone call wasn’t very nice and just a bit more intentional support would have been appreciated.

Brought my parrot in for an emergency. Waited 3-4 hours. The tech came back to tell us the Exotic vet was not coming in because it was a holiday weekend (Labor Day). So I left very disappointed. Why did they not call the Exotic Vet when I first got there instead waiting 3-4 hours, then to tell me the vet was not coming in because of the holiday weekend. So I left. I was not excited driving back home , I had an hour's drive home. Now I have to drive back an hour for my next appointment for my parrot.

It's the place to go when animals are ill or injured during regular business hours. And if it's after hours, the 24 hour UofI veterinary teaching hospital is just down the street.

Everyone here was so nice and knowledgeable about our panther chameleon. They all went above and beyond. For species that at times make it quite difficult to find good care, this is THE place to go. We have been seeking information for over a year for our guy, and they gave it to us in 3 hours.

Why do you even exist? Called to report an owl - a protected species - that may or may not be injured in Urbana, IL and rather than take any constructive action you passed the buck to notify Illinois Dept of Natural Resources which only had a voice recorded message. PATHETHIC!!! Obviously you lack any sense of dedication.
