I have been coming here for 5 years for my cat (now passed) and dogs. Every interaction I have had here is incredible. The vets are caring and attentive, the appointments are timely, and they were great during an emergency visit. I trust everyone here especially Dr. Baumgartner. She is so gracious and kind. She walks you through options clearly and I have never felt rushed in making decisions. I highly recommend them to everyone I talk to.

Me and my husband took our reactive dog in for a visit and vaccines and due to previous experiences with our baby we were expecting him to be treated like a monster! But Dr. Novak was so kind and gentle and patient that for the first time in my boys life he was able to have a good vet experience and not leave more triggered than before he went in! We are so thankful and grateful for her and her team for being so compassionate and amazing!

Update 1/10/25: I already physically came into your office and tried to discuss it and was dismissed with a “too bad.” The only relevant next step is a refund of the $200 you charged me for the “free first exam” you advertise on your website.

All Berwyn VCA cares about is money.

I’ve always loved and trusted VCA Animal Hospitals, which makes this situation so disheartening. I recently brought my puppy to VCA Berwyn for his first visit, but I was mistakenly charged. Although the staff eventually apologized after another post visit call and in person convo, they let me know they couldn’t refund the charge.

Update: 12/10/25 asked me to email them after writing this review and coming into their office already. I’d like a refund. There’s nothing further to discuss.

This has left me feeling uncertain about returning to this location, even though I want to trust VCA like I always have. I care so much about your mission and would love to continue bringing my puppy to VCA, but this experience has made it difficult. I hope there’s a way to resolve this, as I truly want to feel confident in my choice to stay with VCA.

Our technician, Larry and Dr. Girald did such a great job with my dog, Indie the other day. This was my first time going to this hospital with my newly adopted shelter dog and they made the vet visit such a positive experience for her. They gave me a ton of tips as a new dog owner to make sure she stays healthy and free from the seasonal issues dogs can have. And the vet gift bag that they give after the first appointment...so useful! Can't recommend VCA Berwyn enough.

These folks have taken excellent care of my dogs for the three years I've lived here. The front desk, techs, and vets are all dedicated professionals and I trust their expertise. Owning pets can be unpredictable, but VCA Berwyn has provided reliable care for impacted teeth/extractions, digestive upset, bacterial infections, firework anxiety, and vaccinations. Most recently, they prescribed antibiotics for my pup with a UTI, and she's much improved. They know their stuff.

Yes, costs are up - everywhere, for everything. That is not unique to this facility. Pets are expensive. And yes, delays can happen - they run at near-peak capacity to see as many patients as possible, and, as mentioned, animals are unpredictable. It doesn't kill me to be patient. Next time it might be my dog with an unforeseen complication. I'd rather have a vet/care team that takes the time to make sure we're good with everything we need to do than one preoccupied with turnaround. I'm here for expert knowledge, not a cheeseburger.

My time with the wonderful staff was during one of the worst days of my life, saying goodbye to my 18 year beautiful kitty Alley. I walked through the doors carrying her in my arms sobbing, they rushed over to me and took us to a room right away. They took my beautiful girl and confirmed what I knew, it was time to say goodbye forever to my sweet Alley. They let me have time alone with her before they took her back, it was horrible for the obvious reason but amazing because they were so loving and kind. They didn’t rush me, not even after I was done saying goodbye, they just let me get myself together and offered nothing but kind words and comfort. The prices were exactly what we discussed over the phone not even an hour before I got there, considering the emergency service it was cheaper than I had anticipated and they were perfectly accommodating. I think many forget that this is an emergency service location so they don’t anticipate possible wait times when they make appointments. For those who feel angry about time spent waiting while at appointments here, please try to remember the staff is giving your pet the treatments they need for a healthy life while simultaneously helping others like me who have to rush there and don’t get to leave with our beloved pets. They’re accommodating all sorts of needs, please remember this while reviewing- they are giving the best care possible in all circumstances. Thank you to everyone at the VCA Berwyn Animal Hospital, you made one of the hardest moments in my life far less painful, you are wonderful!

Terrible place! They do NOT care about the animals! Take your money to VCA Westmont! This place sucks, turns people away when I had an appointment, I was 5 minutes late, however my dog was having an emergency situation. Terrible.

The people working here are very nice and helpful. They addressed all of my concerns and made sure I was okay with the price for extra products. My dog is very pleased with her new patient kit!
