ADOPTERS BEWARE- I paid more because they told me the cat we adopted was 2 years old (older cats have a lesser adoption fee). 500$ at one vet appt later - turns out the cat is closer to 8-9 years old, had ear infections in both ears, 4 missing teeth, elevated liver function tests and is being treated for pancreatitis because she vomits nearly daily. Get a second opinion before adopting from here. Very unethical.

That being said - I am willing to pay what is needed to get this sweet girl into good health because I am a responsible pet owner.

I fell in love with my dog I adopted!! The dog area was clean, I just thought it smelled awful. I've been to several shelters. The staff was kind and helpful. Very small facility, but I feel blessed they saved my girl for me. The 4 stars is only because of the smell. It might just be because it's winter and they can't really do a deep cleaning. Small staff, but pretty well run considering all the animals are very healthy and happy, but really need forever homes!

Adopted our loving cat Sprout through Asssi and they were very helpful and knowledgeable. You can tell the staff truly cares for the animals they are helping. You could also tell Sprout was very well taken care of while in their care. Thank you for our new family member.

Uneducated staff, dirty facilities, no proper procedures for animal housing, animal care questionable they don’t even have litter! Let alone litter boxes for there animals they have no vet on staff or even a vet tech? If your looking for healthy well maintained animals please look elsewhere there are many other well rounded none profit and no kill shelters you could support! Pray for the animals tho poor babies ?

They take great care of their kitty cats. It is so clean there. I have 2 cats from there about 5 years apart.

The place has lots of room and they take good care of the animals. My only complaint is that searching them brings you to someone's house, not the farm the foundation is located at.
