I was working in the area and injured at home by my cat biting me.
By the time I got to the VA emergency room I was worried I would lose my hand or at least my fingers.
I was checked in super fast and I must say I have never been treated so well at any hospital.
The doctors and nurses was amazing to say the least.
A big thank you to the nurses on 10 west you ladies are amazing.Gabby JD & Christina You’re the best!!!!!!!
And I want to thank everyone at Hines VA for the great care.And most likely saving my hand.

Saved my life. Without question the best healthcare I have ever experienced. I had been using some of the “best” private sector healthcare for years. Switched to Hines VA March of 2024. Primary care physician spends nearly an hour with me every visit. Ordered a specific CT scan for abdominal pain that private sector ignored for three years. Discovered a mass in my pancreas. Ordered a flurry of additional tests. Identified a neuroendocrine tumor. Within a couple weeks was in surgery for a spleen saving distal Pancreatectomy completed robotically using the DaVinci machine. Incredible surgeons and medical staff. Exceptional care every step of the way. Every staff member I have interacted with has been kind, considerate, respectful, professional and caring. I have 7 service connected conditions and each one is being addressed in the most beneficial manner. My thanks to the entire staff at Hines VA. I am truly grateful.

Had to go to Hines VA E.R. prior too my appointment on a Saturday Due to lower Back pain, Let Me Just say that I've never, I mean never encountered Such a more understanding and caring E.R. staff this side of the Mississippi river.. Nurse Linda(wonder woman), And "Dr. Awesome Andrew", have the Best Bed side manners EVER....and responded Smoothly Professionally to my major back pain issues.
Always a two way conversation, never condescending in thought very attentive in my need of care. From blood labs to MRI... I want to Thank you and double hand salute to your superior training and service, You are a true model for what other care providers need to emulate.. D.W.Usn Retired.

Worst place ever. A family member of mine went here over a handful of times for the SAME reason. Not a single question answered, in fact they told her to go see a psych because it was all in her head! Cock roaches in the halls too. Nasty and absurd people we call “doctors.” Please think about going somewhere else that cares about your health and even care about making sure it is a CLEAN space for people with diseases. Absolutely awful place to be at to seek for help. Waste of tax money we spend for these so called doctors to go to school. Yall should be ashamed of yourselves. 3.8 star reviews says a lot.

I loved this place, but since the start of 2024, it's been terrible! The mental health services are bad, and most of the scheduling staff I've talked to on the phone are unprofessional. The staff morale seems awful. Sadly, that's typical across the country.

Waited on hold for over 30 minutes just for every single person to keep transferring me to any random department, one lady said she would probably do the same because she didn’t know the extension of the department I was looking for so she just hung up on me. I’m on hold but can hear all the conversation going on in the back, gotta work on professionalism.

The most amazing care I’ve ever received. The people were absolutely awesome, cheerful, and genuinely cared about helping me. It was the first time it was actually sad to leave a hospital.
