Great place to take your pets. If you call with an emergency they will make room for you. No outrageous bills. The staff is always friendly. The vets do an amazing job at making sure your pet is comfortable and as calm as possible. They always do a great job at explaining everything and making you aware of every available option for treatment.

I have been taking 3 different pets to this vet over 6 or 7 years. Hartford vet has always been a great place to come to, and we drive 40 minutes from home as they are the best in our area that we have been to. Prices are decent and not much different from other vets, and they really care about the well-being of our animals.

I switched to here because they seemed so great until today at my visit. I had to send the cat and the dog with my husband because I was working, but I was really worried because our dog is close to dying & I had mentioned for Marcus to call me so I can hear what is being said & he forgot so I called the office to talk to the secretary & just give her a little bit information if she could give to the doctor She was kind of short with me & said he can call me on the phone That she would go let him know to call me so he finally did. We’ve been going here a few years now & we usually pay the same day but my Care Credit is getting maxed out with all these dogs. I had to rescue. So last time they let me pay the next day since I’m not the one that was able to take them and Marcus was trying to work it out this time and all I had left on my Care Credit it was $96 and she was kind of rude telling him that he’s gonna have to pay the rest of it. Now the experience don’t seem that great anymore☹️

I have been with this vet clinic for almost 15 years. I have moved states and I still brought my dog back for her appointments. Dr. Decker is knowledgeable and caring. The whole staff was so wonderful with my dog.

My kiddo is a vet tech, so my pitty has spent a lot of time at vets whether just visiting or for checkups. We had to change vet’s recently due to a move, and we chose this clinic. The staff is nice, and their fees are about what you would expect. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive. I have a problem though with their prescription services. My pitty does the simparica trio…. Which is already expensive. Plus the calming meds and allergy meds. They saw my pup. And prescribed all those things. While looking for refills I found a source online that was SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper than their online service, so I bought them and gave the store the vets info so they could verify the prescription like I did in the past at my previous vets offices. Apparently they “do not give out prescriptions”. You have to buy them through their pharmacy. Seriously folks. I already dropped $500 on the initial visit with shots and what not, you are not going to give out a scrip so I can save $50?
