I had a great experience at Bluffton Regional Medical, my expectations were surpassed from the moment I registered. Everyone I encountered during my visit was courteous and professional. My nurse Angie Omen went above and beyond with her care and compassion during my entire visit. The patient education that Angie gave has enabled me to be successful at home.

This was my first visit, and I was unimpressed. The office staff was very disorganized. After setting up my initial appointment, they called the day before to let me know I needed to come in 30 minutes before my appointment to get an X-ray. Upon arrival, I was told I needed to pay $200 for the X-ray so I did. While waiting to get the X-ray, the Dr. Office called and said they didn't need one. When I got upstairs to the Dr. Office, I was told I needed to pay $50 before seeing the Dr. I was not told about having to pay for any of these fees up front prior to my appointment. I told the staff I just paid $200 for an X-ray that I was told I needed, and now I don't and asked what would happen to that money. She said she would ask. Then I heard someone from the back say, "We DO need an X-ray" so I had to go back downstairs for that. My referring Dr. had said my cyst removal would be a simple procedure, and I would NOT need a fusion, and the Dr. said he WOULD need to fuse my vertebrae so I told him I would need to think about it. When he left another staff member came in and said someone would call me to schedule my surgery. I told her I wasn't ready to schedule yet. She said she would mail me the papers to explain more about my condition because she forgot them at the other office. I haven't received them yet. This visit did not make me feel like this would be a good place to have surgery!

My Radiologic Technologist was sure of herself and made me comfortable during the exam. I was treated like I was family. The RT was confident in her trade. It was an above average appointment for all that I came to be with. 10 out of 10!

Melissa Fisher is great. I really enjoy her being my doctor she's taking great care of me over these past few years. Calling into her office is ridiculous. Since Meridian took over you cannot speak with anyone in your doctor's office you can leave messages after messages and nobody gets back with you. I need a doctor's office where I can call and speak with a nurse or somebody that knows what's going on in my doctor's office.

I had a mammogram and got in on schedule and didn’t have to wait an unreasonable time. The technician was great. I needed to clean off my deodorant prior to the mammogram and there was only nearly ice cold water. The hot water was not even connected.

If the Respiratory Therapist, Craig wasn't an employee of Pulmonologist, Dr. Ardeshna, I would seriously find another pulmonologist. Between the incompetence of the female employee in Cubicle #4 (whilst registering on the hospital side for my X--ray) and the rudeness shown to my husband and myself from Receptionist, Kathy in Dr. Ardeshna's office, it was almost a sure bet I'd find another pulmonologist and hospital on January 13th. Since doctor orders were missing, I'd wasted a trip from Union City to Bluffton and had to reschedule my breathing test and X--ray to February 4th. Craig is the most caring and professional person you'd ever want to meet. I still had to deal with the female employee in Cubicle #4 again (while registering on the hospital side for my X--ray) but, I was incredibly lucky that Kathy was on her lunch break. We'll see how my breathing test and take home sleep study results turn out before any hasty decisions are made. I did suggest to my husband that if I ever needed medical attention--while in the Bluffton area--he should just take me to the nearest Veterinary Clinic.
