I brought Roscoe Jr. home from a horse farm outside Chattanooga a couple weeks ago as a rescue after an abusive experience with someone who attempted to adopt him. Appalachian Hospital contacted the other Clinic, obtained all his records and did an evaluation very carefully and with total professionalism. They have been.our animal hospital for 6 years and continue to provide us with exemplary care. Cheers

We have been going to this veterinary clinic for a while now and it's probably the most underrated clinic in our area. I have always been distrusting of vets from past experiences, which is unfortunate. They restored my faith completely years ago and this clinic runs exactly how EVERY clinic should run. These amazing veterinarians have a compassion not only for the pets but for their pet parents. They have always hired compassionate staff members that would bend over backwards to assist you. They do everything they can to help. Never has this been demonstrated until I brought in our sweet 13-year old Polly, a treasured Yorkie that had fallen ill and had lost the ability to eat, drink, or walk. This was my poor daughter's dog she had most of her life and she was away at college, it was right before final exams and was a heartbreaking situation. The last time I had to put a dog to sleep at a different clinic, they wouldn't allow me to hold the dog citing liability even though I told them I would sign anything to release them. Not only did Dr. Stone allowed me to hold Polly so her last minutes were filled with love, they allowed me to FaceTime my daughter and explained everything to her to let her be part of the process and allowed us as much time with her as we needed after she passed in a private room they have for that purpose. Getting her back after cremation was a seamless and affordable process. I cannot express my gratitude enough to this office and their compassionate staff. Thank you a million times over.

A few years ago I brought in two cats with upper respiratory infections. They gave them shots despite me specifically telling them not to because they knew I had other cats at home with the infection and they didn't want me using the antibiotics on them. They wanted me to bring in each cat so they could pump me for as much money as possible.

I couldn't be happier with the care my puppy receives here! From the moment we walk in, the wonderful girls at the front desk greet us with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. Their friendliness and efficiency make every visit smooth and pleasant. Dr. Stone is truly exceptional. Her expertise and compassionate approach put both my puppy and me at ease. She takes the time to thoroughly explain every aspect of my puppy's health and treatment options, ensuring I feel confident and informed. The entire staff has a special way with animals, and my puppy absolutely loves them. It's evident how much they care for their furry patients, and their gentle, loving interactions make all the difference. I can't recommend them enough for anyone seeking top-notch veterinary care. Thank you for all that you do!

Fabulous staff!!! You are welcomed to the practice and feel like one of the team!! My cat has become grumpy when it’s time for a visit, but they are very patient with him during the examination. All procedures are thoroughly explained and I never feel rushed. I think I have seen all the doctors by this time and they are all simply the very best. The entire staff is top notch. I am so happy I chose Appalachian Animal Hospital.

Usually I take my Golden Retriever puppy to Paws of Hope but she developed an ear infection over the weekend and since they are closed Mondays I thought I would try Appalachian Animal Hospital. HORRIBLE MISTAKE! I brought my pet’s vet records that were from a month ago (explicitly stating verbally and in an email) that Dani has since had her DA2PP+L vaccine! However, when Dani was being treated for her EAR INFECTION, the distemper vaccine which, according to the vet, different than the DA2PP+L yearly was also given to my puppy!!! ITS NOT DIFFERENT!!!! Obviously as just a pet owner (not a veterinarian) I didn’t know this until contacting my Paws of Hope vet! Additionally, a second Bordatella oral (kennel cough) vaccine was given to my six mnth old pup while I was being talked over ab the first vaccine. I should have just waited until Tuesday to take Dani to Paws of Hope.

They are just awesome! We had no idea what was wrong with our furry family member and they knew immediately, they confirmed it with a blood test. I'm so glad we took him, hate we waited as long as we did. We just thought it was allergies. He's doing so much better now ❤️ I just love y'all, thank you! 🤗
