Dr. Nick, Olivia, and the entire staff provided exceptional service for our doggo's physical exam and dental cleaning. They all went above and beyond to make me feel like she was in safe, caring hands. Dr. Nick is the first vet I've seen sit down on the exam room to be at my dog's level to play with, let lick him, and be excited to meet him. It's a small gesture that goes a long way. He also took his time to explain his findings from his examination and to answer all of my questions thoroughly. Olivia was
fantastic when she met us for drop-off and pick-up. She kept us updated on how the procedure and recovery was going putting our minds at ease which we very much appreciated. It's safe to say our doggo was happy to have made some new friends!

Called to get dog in in the next week for possible ear infection. They had no appointments for over a month and told me to call daily at 8AM to try to get in on a canceled appointment.. Have some appointments open for non emergencies or something so people don't have to make emergency choices for their pets.

I needed urgent care for my cat and they got me a same day appointment within minutes. Once I got there, they made me feel welcome and like they really cared about my pet's and my comfort. They acted with urgency but also with gentleness and kindness. They made sure my cat was comfortable as much as possible. They did their best in soothing him while performing the examination simultaneously. They never forced my cat into any position before exhausting other gentler options which made me feel like they truly cared about my cats emotional health as well as his physical health. ❤️‍🩹

During diagnosis Dr. Nick was humble and down-to-earth, sitting on the floor explaining my cat's diagnosis thoroughly and concisely. He made the information easy to understand while also emphasizing the important pieces to remember. He was patient with my questions, answered them with demonstrations and with scientific knowledge. He aided me in the clarity of aftercare instructions that prioritized the comfort of my cat. I was really happy with how he didn't dismiss my concerns or questions.

The staff was incredibly understanding and forthcoming with estimates in prices before they asked me to approve some treatments. They never rushed me into a decision, allowing me to make a private phone call alone in the examination room, which was a great show of respect in my opinion. When a high priority emergency visit came, they immediately informed me that my wait time would become longer. They made a point to ask me if I was okay waiting longer than usual inside the room or if I was more comfortable in the lobby or if I needed to leave for errands. I've never been to a vet where they made me and my pet feel like we have lives outside of their office; they respected our time as valuable and precious.

My urgent care visit only lasted about 2 hours from checking in, examination, treatment, and to payment which was incredibly convenient and emotionally relieving for me.

I'm really glad we have such an amazing vet staff in small town Rensselaer. They staff was extremely polite, knowledgeable, professional, conscientious, expedited, and very kind. They made us feel important and valued and not just like they wanted to get on with the next paitents to get the day over like human and animal hospitals do. Even the kind and welcoming receptionists made sure we had all our questions answered and our resources available before leaving.

Even though the day started out stressful and emotionally hectic with my cat's health, as soon as we arrived, I felt better that we were under their care. Thank you PetCare team for all your hard work and kindness. 😊 Hope to revisit under less urgent conditions!
