I brought my older cat in on Thursday Sept. 19, 2024. We saw Dr. Moody and he could not have been nicer. He told us what was going on with my cat and options. Unfortunately, we had to put our cat down due to the chance for survival was very low. The decision destroyed my daughter and as a father it bothered me, because it was the first time my daughter had ever lost a pet. After they euthanized my cat, Dr. Moody brought the cat out and then he asked me "Can I give your daughter a hug" and I said "Of course you can". He is very compassionate and cares about his job and animals, great vet.

We love Dr. Moody. I thought my cat had been hit by a car, turned out that was not the case, just had a very bad abscess that ruptured. Dr. Moody took excellent care of my baby.

Name is Dillon/Patrick Abrams. My dogs name is Cojack. Its taken me a while to write this review because at the time I didnt think much of our appointment until now. Im not sure of his name but the nurse/vet that saw my buddy was red headed. First off, my “dog” may as well literally be my own flesh and blood. I take care of him as such, hes an inside pet/friend that has saved my life from suicide on numerous occasions. Before I made his appointment, my buddy was symptom free. He had no issues besides a mild cough from time to time that wasnt persistent but it was enough for me to just want to make sure he was A ok. Again, hes an indoor animal (golden retriever pyranese mix 65lbs) and “good boy” is an understatement. My issues are with the red head vet tech. Which at the time bugged me but now its infuriating me the more I analyze the situation. After meeting us he wanted to put a muzzle on my dog to administer heartworm prevention and other medications. Im totally understandable about wanting to be “safe” but I asked him “are you really going to do that?” and he acted like it upset him, He came into our room and didnt even try to warm up to my to dog, (Like any sane vet tech or anyone that works with animals would do, thats like a no brainer) dragged him across the floor by his leash pretty much choking my dog. Its like he wanted to get a reaction from Cojack. This was for the heartworm test. Fortunately (at the time) it was negative. The actual real “vet” whom im familiar with were all shocked at him being heartworm negative, saying “a dog in des arc? thats unheard of an animal not having heartworms in that area”. Then the redhead guy asked me “whats your price range for what you can spend for monthly medication if hes postive” I of course said “5K? i mean its my dog id do anything and money is nothing” guy replied with something to the likes of “oh it wouldnt be that much” (ill explain the relevance of this in the next few sentences). So he leaves the room, comes back and gives my dog some sort of medication without even telling me. I asked him several times “what did you just give my dog?” and his reply was “oh its just some Anti-inflammatory drug” i was not at all satisfied by this dudes response. I asked him several times more until i literally had to talk over him and say “No dude! what is the name of what you just put in my dogs mouth?” finally tells me its “carprofin”. Like you couldnt have told me you were about to jam some drug down my dogs throat? But I held my cool, afterall, this is supposed to be a safe place for animals right? RIGHT? So now, my dog is exhibiting symptoms of heartworms, (4 months later) easily exhausted, coughing after exertion and easily fatigued. This and him asking me “how much is your budget for heartworm medicine” along with this dude dragging my dog across the floor without even trying to say hello to him and putting medication into his mouth and deflecting my questioning him about it. Im beyond floored, its making me think this vets office infected my dog, bestfriend with heartworms. With all the corruption we are seeing everyday, I cant be sure yall didnt do something to my dog in order to use him as a $$$ sign. And im also conflicted cause i dont want to bring him back to this “vet clinic” and i cant take him anywhere besides near my place of residence. But if he is positive im seeking legal action, its not about money its the sanctity of animals. My dog was full of life and joy until I brought him here for a checkup. Everyone else as far as staff is nice as can be. If i do have to bring cojack here again I dont want that redheaded person anywhere near my dog or me. I hope the owner sees this

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They treated my corgie and me like family. They provided excellent service at a fair price, saving me approximately a hundred dollars over NLR vet prices. I have used them for my previous three canines and will continue to be a loyal customer while living in this area.
