We've taken our dog here for all her life. She's 15 (human) years old now.

Update: Unfortunately our Dot is no longer with us. The folks at Cloverdale took very good care of her until her last breath.

Is your pet's health important to you? Is keeping your pet alive a concern of yours? Then, in regards to this vet, I can only offer one piece of advice: Grab your pet and run. Run as fast as you can.
When we first entered Cloverdale Animal Hospital, during a time when social distancing could literally save your life, I was surprised to find the small waiting room, about the size of an SUV's interior, packed with people. At least two others had the same appointment time as us, with others following mere minutes later. This should have been my first warning; the more patients he sees, the more money he makes, which by the way, is his only concern.
Without knowing my financial situation and whether or not I could afford it, Dr. Gillum informed me, after examining my dog for only a few minutes, that his symptoms could mean any number of things. He gave me some antibiotics and sent me on my way. If I had known that more extensive testing was required, I would not have needed to take my dog to a vet; I would be a vet. But I trusted him, as people are prone to do when it comes to doctors. And trusting him was the biggest mistake I have ever made.
Two days later, my dog was dead.
After having a necropsy performed, I was informed that not only would a set of chest X-rays pinpointed the problem, but a first year veterinarian student would have had a pretty good guess as to what the problem was by simply listening to his chest. But Dr. Gillum didn't care? No.
Did he enter this profession with the intention of saving animals? Probably so. But he has since become blinded with that all-consuming dollar bill sign. I would have spent every penny I had to save my dog and if that hadn't been enough, I would have sold every single possession. But Cloverdale Animal Hospital didn't even give me the option. I was shuffled in and out as quickly as possible so he could make as much money as possible. He didn't even bother to ask what my dog's name was. He simply didn't care. Well, Dr. Gillum, it's Apollo Theodore. Or at least, thanks to you, it was.
