In the process of moving to Delaware and a kitten showed up on my porch. I already have 3 cats but it was so hot outside I felt sorry for this baby and I wanted to have it checked out before I brought it in by my fur babies. I called Merritt and they got me an appointment right away. They were very nice and reasonably priced. The kitten is doing fine and we are thinking of a name! Merritt will be my clinic for all future visits!

As Dr. Merritt's daughter, I'm so impressed with how Dr. G has taken over the reputation of Merritt Animal Clinic since my dad's passing. My dad knew exactly what he was doing when he hired her to take over the legacy of Merritt Animal Clinic, and he made the right decision! She bends over backwards to take care of my diabetic cat, Pete, who is quite a difficult (and crazy) cat to take care of. Of course! She handles him so kindly and is so great with him, just like my dad. My cat has a low stress experience with her, and shockingly lets her even pet him. She's always checking on him and making sure he's doing well, just like my dad would have with any patient that was sick! I love Dr. G and she still treats me like family, even though my dad, Dr. Merritt, is no longer with us. I trust her to take care of all my animals, just as well as my dad did!

Little chihuahua Twinkie has had all of her shots & flea/tick meds. Weeks later, she's itching, scratching & rubbing her belly & rear end all over.
Back to the Vet & discovered thatTwinkie has allergies. A steroid shot, some allergy meds & medicated foam for any parasites/bacteria on or in between her paws, belly & rear that were irritated.
Twinkie is a happy little brat now & so is her Mama.

I love Merritt Animal Clinic! They got me an appointment immediately when my dog had an emergency. The doctors were both super nice. The staff was caring and empathetic. I was very happy with my experience. They all made a difficult situation easier.

I would recommend these wonderful people for any animal needs. I use them for both my personal and foster animals. My pets love coming here to see the caring staff. They treat every pet like their own. The building is always clean, inviting and full of smiles. It’s hard to find people to trust around my babies but they are the real deal!
