I need double the stars to describe my first experience with West Alabama Animal Hospital. During my busiest season at work I came home to a skinny mewling kitty hunkered behind the cherry blossom tree. He was obviously domesticated but had been rambling awhile. I worried about the expense (I was rarely able to get out of my FORMER vet clinic for less than $500 to $1700 depending on the ailment) and my best friend (they have 8 cats they saved from the streets) recommended this facility. From the very first phone call I knew it was gonna be okay. Walk-ins? Sure! They kept lil' man overnight to run tests to make sure he was safe to be with my older cat, then vaccinated and neutered him for a fraction of the cost. I was so flabbergasted I asked them to repeat my bill three times! It means so much to find a place that makes loving animals affordable. I knew if I had taken this baby to a shelter he would not have been adopted (he is still in a kitten phase and is pretty bitey). I know I did the right thing in keeping him, especially since I have Dr. Lowe and his staff to look after us (and my older cat who will soon be a new patient). I am so grateful they transformed what could have been a stressful situation. You will not find a better place for your pets! ?!!!

So very grateful to have West Alabama Animal Hospital in our area. Dr. Freddy Lowe, his wife, and their staff are all wonderful, caring and compassionate people. Dr. Freddy gives each animal the time and attention it needs, and takes time to talk with the owners about their pet’s care, answer questions, and never pushes you to buy supplies or services your pet doesn’t really need. Never seen any of the staff become frustrated with a frightened or unruly animal. They treat every animal as if it were their own. Prices are reasonable and the care is superb! Wouldn’t take my fur babies anywhere else!

I'm new to the area and I feel like I've found a hidden gem. This is such a special place. Dr. Lowe and his staff are wonderful. Brandy is an absolute angel. I had to bring my 9-month old daughter with me during a visit for my dog and they were all so great with her which made things less stressful for me. My senior dog's health is declining but knowing we have a place like this to go is such a comfort. The prices are cheaper than you'll find anywhere, yet the quality of care is superior to anywhere I've been and I've lived all over. Absolute 10/10.

Dr. Lowe is the best veterinarian in the west AL/ north east MS area! We gladly drive almost an hour so that he can care for our fur baby! There is no over pricing or long wait times! He truly loves what he does and it definitely shows!!! I wouldn't trust my baby with anyone else!

Very caring and gentle to all the animals I saw them come in contact with them during my visit. Dr. Lowe took the time and explained everything that needed to be done to get Lady back to health. I just moved down to Alabama and I am Thankful I found a great Veterinarian. He had the highest reviews in my area. And he earned Everyone of them. He is worth driving the extra miles for.

Dr. Freddy Lowe is awsome. Him & his staff are good with & to your babies, i drive 45 miles each wsy when mine are sick. Hes the only vet my babies will ever go to. Thanks to all of yall there for the care yall give.
