My husband and I have brought our dog and cat into LocalVet and Dr.Coffey and the staff are truly incredible. They made sure our pets were well taken care of and received the best medical care and advice; all while reassuring us, helping us feel comfortable and ensuring we understood all the information as well! Would recommend this place 1000% to absolutely anyone. Walked in at 6:30 and was seen so quickly. Dr. Coffey provided a full estimate with options before taking my cat back and the tech went over all financial options with me. They were quick, friendly, transparent and took the time to sit with me and discuss my concerns thoroughly. Also, this emergency visit was barely any more than it would’ve been at her regular vet with an appointment. The most affordable emergency vet in the area.

Our Shiba Inu was stung by some kind of insect. We weighed the options of treating her at home or trying out the new LocalVet clinic. Ultimately, with the level of facial swelling, we decided to make the trip to the clinic. I am so glad we did! The wait was non-existent, the staff was friendly and informative, and took great care of our girl. I would definitely recommend them!

My sweet kitten (forever kitten) was having difficulty with her equilibrium and went missing for two days. I was fearful she had died out in the woods by our home. Very grateful when she was home Saturday morning. Our vet, Smithers in West Fork was closed for the weekend however their message gave information for Local Vet on Huntsville Road, Crossover and Huntsville, MANA Healthcare, etc.
I will be forever grateful to the staff and especially the doctor on duty for taking such good care of a large abcess on Penny's left ear. Penny just turned one this summer and came to me last summer at two months old, a baby Ferrell kitten who lost her mommy a couple of days prior to two, mean dogs and was very traumatized. Amazing what Slim Chicken's chicken tenders can do for a very little one who hadn't eaten in days!!

I thought my dog was having strokes and contacted LocalVet Urgent Care. They said to bring him in immediarely. As soon as we got there, they started taking care of our dog. They did a brief examination. Then did x rays and blood work. The vet was in emergency surgery, but they did notify him of the results of our dog's test. He came and looked at our dog, and we were very pleased to hear that he was not having strokes. The vet gave three possible causes of my dog symptoms and offered courses of treatment. We were so happy to be able to take our dog home that same day. We can't thank the veterinary team enough for their kindness, their concern for our animal and for explaining every step of the way what was happening and what they were doing to treat him. Also, they called us the next morning to see how he was doing and offered for us to bring him in for a follow-up, free of charge. What an amazing group of people! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I highly recommend LocalVet Urgent Care if you're pet is in emergency need.

I did not even know this place existed, but I am so glad we found them! We have had a bad experience previously at the emergency vet (and one good one) So when I had an emergency situation with our 15-year-old senior husky, I was very nervous. I had called wedington animal hospital first and they were not able to get him in quick enough and were very worried about what I was describing for his condition, so they sent me here and I am so glad they did! They were able to see us right away and everybody was so friendly and so nice and so patient while we were going through absolute hell. They were so sweet with my boy and you could really tell that they cared! I know this is really difficult especially when you are talking end of life plans with strangers and this wonderful dog that you know is not going to make it very much longer. I can only imagine how emotional and stressful and painful that is for y'all as well. You never let it show though! You guys stayed brave through our pain and you were absolutely amazing working us through the situation. I'm sorry to inform you, that Kuppa sadly Cross the rainbow bridge early this morning held in his dad's arms. We probably should have made that decision quicker, but we were just so distraught. I really appreciate you never making us feel bad or pushing us, you just listen to us and gave us options. At the very least you were able to limit his pain and we were able to spend a few more hours with him. You gave us the chance to say goodbye and made him much more comfortable! I cannot thank you enough for everything that you have done for us. We will definitely be using your services if God forbid we have another situation where we need you! I also really appreciate your vet team not shaming me for being more holistic normally and actually giving me more holistic options! It really shows how much you care how much knowledge you actually do have and that patient and their human care is a priority for you. If I could give you more stars I would, if I could thank you forever I would. So I will just end this with saying thank you and leave a picture of the beautiful boy when he was smiling because everybody deserves his smile!

My pet fell sick on a Friday evening (right after our vet closed, of course). Dr. Coffey and the LVUC team helped reassure me of her condition, provide diagnostic options, and treat her all within 45 minutes of our arrival. We had a great and quick trip- we would recommend! It’s so nice to have a vet urgent care close to home.
